I started ordering from Danny’s a few months ago. At first, it was AMAZING. Great pizza, awesome delivery drivers, and never a super long wait for a reasonable price. After my husband and I started ordering from there about once a week, we had a reoccurring issue where we would pay for their medium size ranch (which is around $2.99), but when our order came we would receive the small ranch (which is around .75¢). Obviously because there is a price difference, and this had happened about 4-5 times, I called the store and asked to speak with someone about the issue. The lady on the phone told me that it was the delivery persons fault as they should’ve been “paying attention and wasn’t”. I was very polite and made it known that I wanted to see if there was anything wrong I was doing on my end, since it continuously happens. She ended up blaming it entirely on the drivers and put a “note” on my account to give us a free medium ranch (even tho that doesn’t cover the amount of money I’ve unnecessarily given them for the last 4-5 times), I gratefully accepted and went about my day. Well, we go to order again and let them know there should be a note on the account for a free medium ranch, they say okay and say they’ll have my order to me in about in hour.
An hour later and our order comes, except they ended up charging me for a medium ranch and then put an additional medium ranch for “free” in the bag. Now I’m not saying I don’t have bad/off days, but who in their right mind would think we need THIS much ranch for our dinner? The medium size ranch is 8oz, so you’re telling me they actually thought we wanted 16oz of ranch for one medium pizza? It was so passive aggressive and unprofessional, and a complete and total waste. The worst part is if this wasn’t intentional, the staff here really is collectively running off of 2 brain cells. Since then, we have not ordered and will not order from here again. The pizza is awesome most of the time and it’s very unfortunate that they choose to do business this way instead of making things right for their loyal customers. So moral of the story here, if you like ranch with your pizza, prepare to over-pay or don’t...
Read moreWe have been eating at Danny's for about 15 years. The food was always amazing. A few years ago he sold the business to someone else and the experience was horrible. The Wonderful smells were gone, the place was empty and the atmosphere was creepy. The food was horrible and way overpriced. After they ran it in to the ground, Danny took it back. We were thrilled. The food was again Amazing, the wonderful smells were back and the place was packed. Tonight we walked in to the "Twilight Zone". The place was empty, the wonderful smells were missing and the food was horrible. We both ordered Chicken Marsala. We received 2 small, tough pieces of chicken on a bed of pasta. My Husband is first generation American from Italy. He grew up on Italian cooking and lived in New York, so he knows good pizza and Italian food. He said even the pasta did not taste right, and, of course, we have never had Chicken Marsala served that way. The thick sauce that has the wonderful Marsala flavors was missing. Instead there was some kind of broth. His had an overwhelming taste of parsley and garlic. Mine had an overwhelming aftertaste of onion. The chicken was tasteless and the Mushrooms were minced instead of sliced. The waitress "forgot" the complimentary garlic knots, which was a shame because we waited so long for our food. We asked if Danny still owns the place and the answer was yes. That is what they told us the last time. We do not believe it. Danny would not put out food like that. We have had the chicken Marsala before and it was properly prepared and delicious. This was anything but. We had to suck on mints when we left to try to remove the horrible after tastes. It took awhile. Needless to say, sadly, we will not be back. Another once excellent restaurant...
Read moreThis was our first visit to Danny's Pizzeria, and it was amazing! Our visit was on Mother's Day 2022, which could have been a horrible experience, but Danny's really did a great job. We were seated inside by one of the hostesses. We got a couple Pepsi and a water. We ordered 3 items, the Garlic Knots, a large, I believe it was a, Supreme Pizza and a Chicken Parmesan Calzone. Everything came out on-time and at right temperature. The starter of garlic knots didn't last long, they were perfectly sized and tasted so good. The pizza came out and was placed on a stand next to the table, HUGE! The pizza crust was perfect and the toppings were very tasty. The large was cut into slices and they were huge! A single slice covered the plate. Maybe you get it by now, the slices were big. Haha The calzone was large as well and not even the family sized one! It was so cheesy and delicious the chicken was tender and tasty. The sauce on the side was even warm, most places give cold side sauces and it kills my soul a little. The service was fantastic, it didn't seem to matter who took your order, because everybody seemed to chip and refill drinks or clear plates etc. the service really was on point. At some point a gentleman, who I feel was an owner, even helped with drink service. Btw, even the Pepsi tasted great, sometimes you know it just tastes off, not here. So in conclusion, we will be back. I'm so happy we found a GREAT pizza spot close to home, I hate it took us so...
