Ben & Jerry’s — Restaurant in Braintree

Tried this Ben & Jerry’s for the first time on Free Cone Day. The line looked intimidating (though not as bad as the Boston locations) but moved pretty quickly; the total wait time was 10-15 minutes from the end of the sidewalk. The workers were friendly and efficient. I tried the Coconut Seven Layer Bar and also got to taste my friend’s Strawberry Cheesecake. I liked the texture and taste of the Strawberry Cheesecake more. The coconut in the other one was not strong enough (not bad overall, but I wouldn’t get it again). I really wanted to try the mango as well but alas next time. Don’t know if the waffle cones are made in-house, but they tasted average.

This branch is located in a plaza with a bunch of other stores, so there is a free parking lot, but it is a bit of a nightmare to get into and out of when crowded. There're plenty of reasons everyone loves Ben & Jerry's. I think one of them is Stephen. We tried to book ice cream catering for a living memorial party for my mom, who has terminal cancer. When nothing can cheer you up, ice cream can at least try. Unfortunately, we had some trouble getting the town to allow us to get a catering permit last minute for the party, but not for lack of Stephen trying. We may not have been able to do business together yet, but he has been one of the kindest people I've dealt with through this process. He showed complete compassion and respect for the situation. I hope to have his catering at my mother's birthday party this summer....

Great ice cream products like always. I went closer to closing time which apparently is when everyone else also decided to stop in. The workers got through the line quickly. The girl who helped me noticed me struggling with stuff I had walked to the gas station to grab before returning to my room, the gas station attendant wouldn't give me a bag, but she was very sweet and offered me a bag to help me out which was much appreciated.
