I used to love this pizza until...kept getting wrong pizza delivered so this old lady at their place on the strip said she was manager both times I called but I found out she isn't the manager just tells people that. Anyway when I told her the pizza they delivered was wrong she'd smartly ask "what do you want me to do about it" I said well what do you do in these cases and she just said if you give us that one we'll pick that one up and bring the right one. I said I have company and we had to give them what you sent as we had been waiting over an hour and it's late. Dead silence then again asked the question what do you want me to do...I made a suggestion that they give us the right one next time we order free like most places do and an apology would be nice. She acted mad and reluctantly said she would put us down for free pizza but I must ask for her. I call in and she says she doesn't remember it so she's not going to do it. The second time they sent wrong pizza she said the same thing and I said I know you're not going to give me the pizza because you'll just pretend you don't remember just like before. She insisted she would so about a week and a half later I called to get it and they closed for the winter. No wonder! She knew they would be closed! I should have known! So I'm pretty upset by now and I call the Pizza World on 248 and tell them this whole story and he informed me that she's not a manager and they've gotten all kinds of complaints about her and he even apologized several times and said the would send me the free pizza and let me start getting my deliveries from them even though they're a little farther away. So that's what I've been doing ever since. I've been saving up my proof of purchase tabs off of all of my boxes for the past two years because I was told by Pizza World staff that after I saved ten I would get a free pizza so I kept forgetting I had a bunch saved up until one day I called in to see what I could get for these things and guess what... they tell me the owner of the Pizza World just decided that day not to give the free pizzas anymore. What!?! I couldn't believe it. I said I've never cashed any if them in over the past couple if years so now I have 20 something of these annoying things in my kitchen drawer all for nothing? I said that's definitely false advertising! I could have purchased from much cheaper places but would always order from PW knowing that I would get a free one some day and that would offset the cost a bit. NOT! When I asked why they were doing this he said the owner us mad because people who clean rooms at Holiday Hills Resort on E Hwy. 76 would save the tabs and get free pizzas for themselves. I said what difference does that make...the pizza's were still paid for and you get a huge amount of business from all the vacationers that stay there so I just don't understand the problem! Don't put out a false advretirement just to get people to order from you...how RUDE! Needless to say I'm done with Pizza World and I tell everyone I know what a bunch of sheisters they are So it's Pizza Hut all the way and I'm saving a lot of money! Whew...I...
Read moreNot thrilled with our experience! Upon arrival, the cashier seemed very out of it, he even admitted getting lost in my roommates shirt (which was a simple design). My roommate actually questioned whether or not he was stoned. Upon my first trip to the buffet, the first plate I picked up was dirty... so was the second. Almost walked out right then, and believe I should have. The second time I went up to the salad bar the chicken wings were out and I had to ask for them to be refilled. The salad bar attendant seemed a bit put out and told me it would be at least 15 mintues. Meanwhile they took several of the food containers off the salad bar to the kitchen to refill. When I went to put mushrooms on my salad they had dirt all over them. I asked staff to wash the mushrooms and was told they never wash them because they are sanitized by their supplier. Sanitizing is one thing... removing dirt is completely different. He also stated that the mushrooms grow in the dirt so it shouldn't be an issue. I was shocked! They eventually did wash some for me but these comments made me question whether or not any of the other produce on the salad bar was washed prior to being put out. This morning I looked at the guidelines for salad bars by the FDA and it states "Before preparing, all fresh produce should be washed thoroughly under cold running tap water to remove any lingering dirt. Scrub firm produce, such as apples and potatoes, with a brush. Do not wash with detergent or soap because these could produce residues a person could absorb when eating. Washing is still recommended for pre-cleaned, trimmed produce. Do not soak fresh produce because important nutrients can be lost in the water." I am seriously considering a complaint to the local health department as it is clear food handling is not taken seriously at this establishment. Some retraining is definitely in order! I had a terrible experience ordering from pizza world. After waiting 1 hour 15 Min for a large pizza and 9 wings to be delivered the pizza came Luke warm at best and the wings where cold and mushy and undercooked. I was not able to call the store back to complain about the order because they had closed for the night after taking so long for the pizza to be delivered.
I sent Pizza World a message via Facebook messenger and this is what I got back as a reply from corporate. This message is complete 100% lie. I have never spoken to a manger or stepped foot on any of their stores. Be very cautious if you do order from Pizza World. Obviously customer service isn’t too propriety and food quality doesn’t exist if they are serving under cooked chicken and cold pizza. This is a tourist trap area and all pizza world is doing grabing cash and running. Stay away from Oizza World.
