Fast Eddie's Restaurant, Ice Cream Shop, and Bakery — Restaurant in Brattleboro

Finally starting going here this summer after seeing it (usually closed) for years when we're in town. And what a great find! We pretty much always get the same thing - whole belly fried clams and a fish sandwich (plus fries etc..) -- we can't believe we found belly clams in Vt., but they're as good as the Cape or coastal Ct., truly, and better priced. They get them delivered daily from Ipswich, so there ya' go. The window folks are always very pleasant, food comes fast, often they'll come to the picnic table if you're dining out there to ask how everything is. We understand they're staying open through the winter - sure hope so! Ignore a recent review slamming clam strips - for one thing if you're ordering strips, not bellies, your judgment isn't really worth much anyway lol. Not had them but I'm sure they're fine, as strips go. This place is our 'reward' after our Planet F. workout...

Wow. This place is the real deal! Eddie gets FRESH fish every single day out of Boston. The fish and chips are phenomenal! Went back another day for cheeseburgers and fries. They were, by far, the absolute best in the area. My children ate every last bite (a rarity!). The baked goods are top notch quality and the ice cream is some of New England's finest! My family can't wait to try more from their extensive menu. Eddie himself greeted me with a smile that proved that he really does love seeing people and bringing them joy. I've been helped by a few other workers there too. They are all good people who are kind and helpful. Great service...fabulous food...awesome prices...yes, please! See ya...

Fast Eddie’s has always looked fun but we have never stopped in before. Food came quickly. The fried items were made in clean oil. The fish taco was a hunk of fish in a wrap. Prices were a bit high.

The younger woman working seemed to be trying really hard to do a good job. The older woman was rude to her.

It’s a huge menu and knowing it all early in the season would be a challenge for anyone. Perhaps they could reduce options rather than treating their staff poorly.

I’d been debating whether to mention it in my review, thinking perhaps it was an off day but post seeing years of similar comments it seems unlikely it was an anomaly.
