Highway 40 Grill — Restaurant in Brazil

I ate here at least once a week. This was after they opened the salad bar. I ALWAYS had the salad bar AYCE. Today I went in with a friend. A busboy wiped a table off for us to sit. I got a menu and gave it to my friend since they were busy. I had taken medication in my car since I knew I wouldn't have to wait on salad bar. Had one small plate of food. No waitress stopped by to get our drink orders. My friend looked at the menu for half an hour. Still no waitress appeared. I never got my soup that goes with salad bar and never got to order a drink. Other people were waited on, received their food, ate it and left. No waitress even acknowledged us. We went to the register so I could pay and leave. Asked to speak to the manager and was told none was there. Asked who had the station where we were seated and was told nobody... they just sort of floated around. Then I told the lady at the register that nobody floated over to our table at all. I expressed my frustration at never being waited on and being expected to pay salad bar price for a saucer of food. By this time I felt sick to my stomach from being treated in such a manner, especially at a restaurant that I was a customer at so frequently. She told me to go ahead and just leave, so I did. I had to sit with my friend to calm down and was unable to even eat for a while. This was my favorite go-to place and I've shed tears over my latest experience there. Will probably never get my friend to go back there with me and don't know how I would even be...

First time my husband and I went in and food was really good. I had the biscuits and gravy with a side of ham. The ham was a lil greasier than it should be,and he had the junk yard burger and fries. First time was pretty good. But my husband and I took our oldest son and a friend today and the food was not the best. My husband liked the junk yard burger the first time but this time it was over done and not the same as last time. Our fries were recooked or something but definitely overdone. Tasted bad. The potato soup was not cooked all the way. And my grilled tenderloin was tough. The fried pickles and fried mushrooms were good. The waitress was very friendly as nice and pretty prompt till the end. But she did take off my husband's meal since he didn't even eat it. He only tried it and couldn't do it. We still spent a lil over $60.00 and sorry to say it wasn't worth that much. I still give it 2 stars Because I believe in time it will get better and pray it does. Went about 1pm, there were a few people there, most tables were dirty with dishes, a waitress said pick a table and she'd clean it off. She then sprayed a table and even though a cloth was on the table she left. On our way to a table my husband slipped in a puddle of water, luckily he didnt fall. Found a clean table and sat for a good 10-15 minutes, finally a girl came and took our drink order, after another 10 minutes she came and began our dinner order, still no drinks, my husband asked the soup of the day, she didn't know but went to find out, 10 minutes later still no waitress about soup of the day, there were 2 other tables in that area with people, and 2 more waitresses in the other area so I don't believe they were short staffed, maybe not trained? I don't know, after over 30 minutes I decided we'd leave and walked out, my husband told the girl at the cash register cancel our order, that we'd been waiting over 40 minutes and didn't even get our drinks, service was terrible and if it didn't get any better they won't be in...
