Nick's Barbecue — Restaurant in Bremen Township

I like this place because it’s down the street from my house. It’s usually not busy through the drive thru which I normally use. I enjoy the Tamale Boat and the french fries and the drinks are always cold. Prices are nice and they always have specials going on. Now for the not so great.. I usually get the Gourmet burger and steak/chicken burrito and both just miss the mark. Even when I order everything on it with condiments there is just no taste too these two items. The steak burrito I had taste like I’m crunching plastic for the lettuce and the the tomatoes just seemed old. I had to put a ton of green sauce to enjoy it. Nice portions but the quality just isn’t the best Nicks food just lacks taste. I will try other items because there’s so much to try I figure I give them a chance. Used to be good but not anymore!! I ordered dinner recently, the grilled chicken was boiled, plain and overcooked with no flavor to it, felt like I was chewing on a piece of hard rubber. The Italian beef was the worst I ever had, first they messed up our order by putting the wrong sauce (marinara) and the meat was overcooked as well and plain. Asked the gardinera on the side instead they smothered the sandwich with jalapenos when my wife is allergic to jalapenos.almost returned back the order but was late. All my three times ordering have been very disappointing, ended up throwing food in the garbage but kept the fries!!!

I order from this location all of the time. They have delivered to my markham address plenty of times already, I spend money and I tip. Today he told me I was 12 miles away, I am only 5.3. He said door dash is their new delivery and they don’t go over 8 miles, then when he realized it was closer he stated he needed to call door dash and get their permission, then he needed to call the owner. What it boils down to is their racist and judge based on location and Not mileage. I was treated terribly and you lost a good customer who spends no less than $60 per order.
