We went to Nations on Lone Tree in Brentwood on a Saturday morning at 9:30 am. By the time we got our food, it was almost 10. They called two of the #'s that were after ours. I asked for milk for our 2 coffes' and they said all they have is creme and that I would have to pay for milk. $1.52!!! Then my wife had to leave before we were done for work so I took my son to the bathroom and left our food on table. ALL PLATES and DRINKS still with plenty of food. When we returned 5 minutes later, our table had been cleared. I told the cashier and he asked for my reciept (which was on one of the trays) then the #. He went to the kitchen and then came back and told one of the girls and they just sort of chuckled!! Didn't apologize or say anything. So we decided to just leave. came back to get something my son wanted and the guy tells me "Oh we are making your food again" Reallly????? when were you going to tell me I as I had no intention of waiting another 1/2 hour for your lousy food. The ironic part is, just the one day prior, I told my wife to go to NATIONS and pick up two pies as we were having guests that evening. I also frequent this location often as it is very close to where we live even though more often than not, their SERVICE IS LOUSY and I know that they're busy or understaffed sometimes and I have no control over that, but this was the last time as they had sufficient staff but the indifference attitude is not what I expect from a restaurant when they continuously give lousy service or make mistakes. Going forward though, I will go a bit further and take my business elsewhere. That I know I have...
Read moreI've been Nations fan since I was very young and my Dad would have us walk to one in Palos Verdes shopping center (which closed when the shopping center added a Lunardis 😞). We'd go for breakfast, lunch or dinner and it was great every time.
Fast forward to grown-up me, living in Brentwood, and enjoying the occasional meal at the Brentwood location. (I was ecstatic when I learned it was opening near me.) The food, service and atmosphere are great. We gave had a party of 12 people before and we all found seating near each other. The casual atmosphere makes for a great place for kids to eat as well.
Some say it is pricey, but I would argue that I would pay the same, or more, at any number of fast food places for extremely inferior food. The burgers here are big, juicy, and loaded with tomatoes, lettuce and onions. The fries and onion rings are delicious with good serving sizes. And I do love their chili. There are many more options which I haven't tried yet.
If you join the rewards club you have many opportunities to get great deals so your price is even less.
Pies? They are superb. They offer a number of pies year round, but also have a rotating selection of...
Read moreNation's is one of my go-to places when I want some a great burger, a slice of pie, or a late night meal.
The burgers are hot, fresh and delicious. One of the places that has never disappoints. My absolute favorite item to get is actually a grilled cheese with everything and add a patty; to die for! It's all the joys of a grilled cheese and hamburger in one, plus you can select the bread you want form their handful of options.
Now one thing to note is they have both dressing aka Miracle Whip and mayonnaise. By default, dressing is what is used so if you aren't one for the tangy mid-western taste of Miracle Whip, make sure to ask for mayo instead of dressing (how my husband likes it).
Nation's is also one of the go-to places for pie in the area. They do massive pie sales during the holidays where it takes up most of their inside seating! Short of making a pie myself or picking one up from out of town, Nation's is the place I trust to end my family gathering.
The staff are friendly and very helpful from ordering to helping clean the tables after. This location has also haf little cups of pie samples when they have time with the dinner rush on...
