Baron's Bagels - Brick — Restaurant in Brick Township

First of all I’d just like to begin by saying we waited for 1 hour. I ordered 5 bagels, pork roll, egg& cheese, and bacon, egg, and cheese bagels, toasted. I’m not sure what took 1 hour to make, granted they were busy but not busy enough to wait 1 hour for 5 bagels. We got our bagels, I ask for a receipt and I’m so glad I did because they charged me for 6 bagels not 5. SO MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR A RECEIPT!!! It seems they just charge for whatever they want.. unreal. Second of all, we get home and realize our order isn’t correct. They forgot the cheese, the bagels are cold. Like are you actually kidding me. You have one job.. make 5 bagels and you mess that up after waiting for 1 hour!!!! HOW?!! So I go ahead and call and ask to speak to whoever is in charge.. a girl answers and greets me by saying… “what’s up?” Hahahaha wow, at this point I’m like ok.. this isn’t a real business. What’s up.. well I’ll tell you. We waited an hour and you messed up our order and also charged me extra… that’s what’s up. Her reply.. “oh my gosh I’m sooo sorry, this never happens!” 😒 lol I highly doubt it. I hope this review helps whoever is reading it to make a conscious decision before going there. You will absolutely have to wait for an unusually long time and they might charge you extra for things you didn’t order and potentially mess up your order. Also they won’t even try to remedy it. I found this place to be very disappointing and extremely unprofessional. If your staff is reading this, I really hope you have a team meeting and teach them about proper customer service. 🙄👍

I’m updating this review as I honestly feel the need to. My daughter has had nonstop diarrhea and vomiting since yesterday.. I believe she got food poisoning from her bagel. She had a bacon egg & cheese on an egg bagel except they forgot the cheese so just egg and bacon. If I could leave zero stars I swear I would. First time at this bagel shop even though I am a a few min away in neighboring town. I usually do not leave reviews but what a pleasant experience. Was staying at local hospital for my daughter and decided to get a better breakfast. Upon walking how friendly and personable with each person in front of me. She went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything in my bag and could tell in my face how drained I was, asked me if I had something specifically for myself in there she could tell I was tired then when I thanked her for double checking, she found out I was in the emergency room with my daughter for three days sent me over with two bags of bagels, cream cheese, and butter for the nurses was an absolute gem...her kindness was exactly what I needed to refresh my morning. Well, for starters, I was in the store waiting for my order. And I hear the two employees and the cashier talking about my order and pretty much making fun of it asking how someone can eat that to which I interjected myself into the conversation and told them why I ordered what I did. That is extremely unprofessional and rude. I’m not sure why anyone would make comments about what someone is ordering. Their job is to cook the food, not make comments about what people are getting. And to top it all off when I got back home and opened up my order it was wrong.
