LG's Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Brick Township

I cannot comment on atmosphere because everything I had was delivered. I fall into the new customer category for LG's Pizza even though I had gone to top tomato since it opened. I just wanted to comment on some things which may seem very trivial but I just wanted to mention it first of all I gave a five rating on everything other than atmosphere as I have not been to the restaurant I wanted to compliment you on the fried calamari which reminds me of Vincent's on the corner of Mott and Hester in Manhattan place I had gone to since I was probably 10. I'm 65 now the one thing I want to say about it is please keep any flour on it light as they do in Little Italy at Vincent's it's more like a dusting of the flour than anything and as you know frying the calamari takes about 1 minute or it gets tough so many places in New Jersey it looks like onion rings and the batter is so heavy. Your place is outstanding and I've ordered it two times in 2 days my first two visits the one thing I wanted to request is please use the tentacles !!!!!!which it seems no one does in most of New Jersey other than up north I know I can request the use of the tentacles but I'm saying I think it would be automatic to use ! the only other thing I wanted to mention is I live in one of the senior developments. Lion's head right next to four seasons. It is 3 mi from the restaurant and is more brick than Lakewood and an easy ride up Brick boulevard. When I place the order today and I guess a direct way I was told "I have to charge you a dollar more because you live in Lakewood" It's not the dollar obviously. I always give cash for a tip and most people say I tip too much sometimes 30% or more on a delivery never ever ever ever ever less than 20%. . I know I wouldn't deliver into town in Lakewood for any amount of money. And there are parts of brick where it's further away than we are. Today the bill was about $40 and I was going to give a $10 tip so that's $50 and I said can you please send him with change for a hundred and he seemed skeptical so I said I'll give you my card and I did I guess a lot of the things you do is based on bad experiences like going into parts of Lakewood so you have to put that surcharge on and then saying you don't have change but saying in a way like I was a thief he even called back and said we don't have French dressing can you choose something else and at that point I was wondering if he was just calling me to check on the legitimacy of the order.. I am a disabled veteran so I don't get out as much as I would like to and my inability to walk because of service-connected injuries has caused me to have sometimes larger Bill than I wanted to have to pay. Because I can't get to the bank to break it Anyways I can't wait to try the other things on the menu so like I said these are probably trivial things but I just thought it could have been a little friendlier the girl I ordered from the first day who was Hispanic I'm sure which I could tell from speaking to her was one of the nicest people I ever met on the phone! Lol. The gentleman the next day was polite but he was very direct like just not trusting. I order a lot of takeout. It's the only time we've ever...

So this is my first ever, internet review on food. I gave my word that if I actually enjoyed the food that was made for me, I would give a review. I don't lie when it comes to food. People that know me, know how picky and set in my ways and taste preferences. After all I was born and raised in Greece. I love the fact that even though the phones were ringing off the hook, Luis (i'm thinking one of the owners/manager) he still made sure my mother and I we taken care of (like you would take care of your friends when they visit) he didn't give me a hard time, when it took me forever to decide what to get nor when I needed to make a tweak to a recipe. Very Accomodating, to say the least, my mom though he was funny and laid back too. The Food, we ordered Penne Alla Vodka, and a Large Pizza with Mushrooms. The pizza sauce is what i wanted to taste mostly and the Penne was important for me, something about that dish. My mom could not stop laughing, because she knew that the moment I wasn't talking when I was eating, especially my Penne. She knew I had nothing bad to say, and that phenomenon is rare. I know this is a long story but they and everyone should know exactly how it was. I can't just say it was great and move on. I need to tell you why, and everything ties together. From the respectful, yet funny approach from Luis which made my first visit memorable and for me to have so many details after so many hours is a miracle. The food tasting so wonderful that it kept my mouth shut, and that surprised my mom, and shocked her that I had not one thing to pick on. It tasted homemade, very important...... Thank God I chose last minute to get the Cannoli , the filling.... Seriously ? its your own recipe ? Made in house ? And if it is , would you be willing to make a dessert of my choosing from your cannoli recipe?

My son Joey and I tried LG’s for the first time yesterday. Even with the outside dining, while ordering-I still looked around inside and the place was very clean, we were greeted immediately, everyone had masks on and it felt very comfortable. Good vibes, very personable and professional staff! BIG SELECTION of food, from pasta dishes, pizza, apps, salads, wraps, burgers, kids menu, desserts and more! HUGE SELECTION of DRINKS!! Nothing is sitting out, everything is fresh. Being Italian and coming from a big Italian family, my family can cook and so can I (all from scratch) With that being said, we’re picky with sauce and food from Italian restaurants. We’re originally from north Jersey, so finding a good spot down here is hard. My son compares everyone’s sauce to mine and my entire family’s lol but he ordered the pasta and meatballs (his fave) and he ate the entire bowl! He’s 11 and can eat, but if he didn’t like it, he wouldn’t have ate the entire dish! That says a lot, my son is picky! We also took three different pieces of cheesecake to to go. AMAZING! We’ll definitely be returning customers and ordering delivery as well. Joey and I give this place 5 stars based on cleanliness, freshness and quality of food and how we are treated from the minute we walked in the door. First impression is everything right? Even the delivery guys that were waiting on their to-go orders, were very nice and personable. I’m a personable person myself, so I like that. LG’s is definitely our new spot!
