Me and my wife got takeout from this place on Monday August 11th at approximately 530 in the evening. Before arriving and placing our order we looked on the menu online and decided what we wanted. When my wife returned to the car she told me it was very expensive because she paid $94.18. I calculated what the bill should have been before tax based on their online prices and it should have been $60. When we confronted the restaurant they stated that they forgot to update the prices. I also that there was an invisible 4 dollar charge added to the bill, (see receipt). They also added their own tip to the bill which was 15 dollars. When I asked for a refund for the tip over the phone they said they couldn’t do it and I would have to come back. I didn’t bother because I live one hour away. And after all this the food was absolutely terrible. The rice was bland, the chicharrón had no flavoring at all and it was so hard you could crack your teeth on it, and the carne asada was terribly dry. This place is terribly and I highly recommend you don’t dine here Updated* In response to your message, I’d prefer to get a refund. Especially for the 4 dollars that don’t show up on the check and the fifteen added for a tip.

Wow! Decided to try the cafe for breakfast since we were in the area. Have thought about coming here over the past few months, but time always prevented a visit. With breakfast in mind, a quick look at the menu leaves you wanting to try everything! I went for the chicironn (pork rind), eggs, rice and beans, and white corncake. First and foremost, the rice and beans have been the best I've ever had. I get different nationalities prepare them their own way, but Mendoza's beats all in my opinion. The corncake with cheese filling was perfectly baked, soft, and full of flavor. The pork rind was a long strip, cooked to a delicious crunch while keeping the meat tender and the fat juicy. Unless you're a big eater, expect to bring a meal's worth of food home to enjoy again. When you order your coffee, know that when ordering with milk, you will get this creamy, deliciously sweet blend with a froth of foam floating on top. At the front counter, there is a small display case filled with large flavors. Empanadas, cheese buns, and many different kinds of fried treats. We will return for dinner one night, im sure it will be just as good as breakfast was!

An Episode of the Podcast Local Neighborhood Experts: Sharon and Kyle was filmed at Mendoza Colombian CafƩ in Brick NJ. 1/15/25 This establishment offers a cozy, inviting space with aroma of freshly brewed coffee, patrons can relax while people watching, being hypnotized by their imaginations. The decor has highlights of vintage art and comfortable seating. Overall, the sense of authenticity Spanish hospitality is present. The menu is an array of many delicious cuisines. Hosts: Sharon McKenzie-Venning, ADK Realty & Kyle Farrell, CrossCountry Mortgage are local residents, the two incredible professionals are in the Estate Sales, Real Estate and Mortgage space. Always remember, If you are interesting in finding a house or finding a buyer for your house contact Sharon, Realtor. Equally important, if you are seeking any loan or financing Kyle can fund you. Contact/Google them. They love talking about coffee by spotlighting local eateries. In addition, highlighting local neighborhood events. I am writing to share my recent experience, which unfortunately fell short of expectations due to disorganization and a lack of communication. Upon arrival, the restaurant was not busy, yet we faced significant delays. The waiter failed to inform us about being short-staffed, leading to confusion and frustration during our meal. My sister, who is pregnant, waited over an hour for her bandeja paisa while others were served promptly. After waiting patiently, we decided to share our food with my sister as she continued to wait. When we finally sought assistance from another waiter regarding her order, we were told it would take longer than expected. We kindly requested to cancel the order if it wasn’t ready. To add to our disappointment, when my birthday cake arrived without any acknowledgment or song from the staff, I felt overlooked on what should have been a celebratory occasion. Although the waiter later attempted to arrange a song for me, it felt insincere and poorly timed as we were preparing to leave. Overall, this experience was quite humiliating and did not reflect the excellent customer service one would expect. Regrettably, I do not plan on returning in the future. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. I hope you will address these issues for...

I’ve had a few bad experiences with this restaurant since they opened. I really leave it as a last resort. Today, I was craving some Spanish food so I ordered a chicken breast with rice and fries and sweet plantains. The sweet plantains were hard and the rice had a weird old taste and the chicken breast was so bland and did not taste good nor did it even look appetizing. When I was picking up my food I decided to buy something from the bakery and I gave the girl 7 dollars and then she’s like I don’t have 60 cents ok and I was like ok..a bit confused then she went over to the bakery side so I was under the assumption she was going to grab the bakery items and grab my change from the other register but no she legit just handed me the bakery items and sent me on my way. While it was only 60 cents, should I then have said I only have 6 dollars since it was 6.40..like that’s crazy. Anyway I have had issues with my order being wrong to the portions to other issues etc I know a lot of you like the place because there isn’t much Spanish food in the area but it was really isn’t the best at all. The staff isn’t as friendly either. I really think today was just the last time I’ll be going here. The chicken tasted bad and it was chicken breast like how do you...
