Main Street Creamery — Restaurant in Bridgeport

I visit the this ice cream store almost twice a week or sometimes three times a week, we enjoy the place. Im 37y/o and I have three kids. I never spend less than $15 because my family is big. However, Im a college student. Im getting my Master’s degree, I have been in college since 2015 with my bachelors and now my Masters. The point is that every time I visit the store I feel uncomfortable since one time this year that I was questioned being a student. The guy didn't believe and still don't believe that Im student, because my age?? I dont know. That specific time he said to me that student ID’s have a sticker with the public transportation logo when I said I drive and by the way those stickers are for high schoolers students still laugh at me. Still, it is a singh on the window from secret heart and University of bridgeport that apply to the 10% discount. Im a student from UB. Last time I visites was today 11/16/22 and I told the guy again that Im a college student and I also showed him my college student app where it shows my courses, grades and assignments and he laugh at me. Honestly I feel very disappoint being treated as a lier. I dont know if this guy is the owner, one of them or an employee but he needs to keep on my the importance of being less judgmental and the importance of maintaining customers happy and confortable. I will never lie or get in trouble just to get 10% off of my purchase but I think if you have a sing there you have to comply with promotions you are offering to your public. I have been feeling disrespected since then. I hope you take care of the way employees are treating...

My favorite place hands down to even go to. Service is amazing and they remember you. Very kind hearted people open to conversation and they get to know you. Great people!

There is an array of choices that make you comeback for more! Sundaes, floats, churros, funnel cakes, milkshakes you name it they have it all! My go to when I visit is the extra large chocolate shake.......IT IS AMAZING! The best milkshakes and Ice cream come from here and they boom in business. Give them a try they are open all year I have been going to their establishment every week for a year and a half now! So I really take my time before writing reviews. A year and a half later I never got disappointed once they are always active and ready.

As for prices they are VERY GOOD for what you get. The extra large chocolate shakes is about $7 and the portion is like a the size of my head no joke. They have over 40 different hard ice cream flavors (I think its 40 there were alot to count.) Stop by and give them a try even when there is a line its fast so don't feel intimidated. The new boss / owner is a sophisticated jerk, and makes his employees act the same. I ordered a pecan hard ice cream on a waffle cone for my mom. The lady who took my order asked me if I wanted the caramel or butter version, I wasn’t aware there was two versions. I chose the caramel one and when I gave it to my mom she tried it but didn’t like it. I asked if I could get instead the other flavor/option or even get a refund for that ice cream. But the owner was saying no and he had the nerve to say it’s not my fault you picked that one & paid for it. So for example if he tried a dish at a restaurant but he didn’t like it, how would he feel if the owner told him it’s not his fault he chose it? I even saw him numerous times talking sarcastically to customers who were just ordering politely. And my dad too, who takes a bit to order was getting rudely rushed by this owner who took his order. I’ll be taking my business somewhere else and hope other people see and realize how rude and impolite...
