Drumstik Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Bridgeport

I called in an order which included mango habanero wings. I specifically asked the gentleman on the phone if this wings were really hot. He said “no they’re not that hot at all”. I said “ok, let me get the 20 piece mango habanero wings”. I go there and when I receive my order I notice in the bag are regular wings so I go back to the register and let the young lady know I received the wrong order. She asked to see my ticket and then looks at another paper with hand writing and says “well this paper says wings”. I stated I understand that but that’s not what I ordered and and that’s an error in their part. So she says she will speak to the guy making the food. I hear him say he doesn’t have a problem making the food but that’s it. The young lady comes back and says he can make it but I have to pay for it. I explained I already did and she says no I paid for the regular wings (which are the same price as the mango habanero). She goes back to the same guy and comes back. So basically they wanted me to pay for they wings I did not ask for on top of the wings I wanted. That is a NO!!!! Bad business...I requested all my money back. They can keep that....that’s not how you deal with customers. It was just pure nonsense going on in there. Just saying..I worked there when I was in high school. This place is sooo much different from that time. I worked with Ed the owner and his kids Jay + The hours and way things are now are very disappointing While Ed and his kids were in charge who I worked with as well. The food and availability was always very important

I just visited again. I was happy with my order. As I remeber while working there their breading on chicken is always great has never changed Things are different in a way. No longer sling ribs is disappointing but I understand they are expensive I do hope they sti offer bbq chicken I did notice that their cold case is very sparce. While I worked there it was always filled with trays of cold salads beans eggs ect. They would always clear out especially in warmer months. 5-25-2018 chick pieces was tiny and small and dry, mac and cheese had no cheese in it
