I decided to take my Mother here on 7/8/18 to try their so called burgers that they have been advertising. Being that I worked in the FoodService-Hospitality profession for many yrs as a Head Chef & Kitchen Mgr, this review will be very honest & blunt! My Mother decided to try the Classic Burger w/ Fries & I tried the Classic w/ Bacon & Cheese w/ Fries & a Fruit Punch. The Burgers were average to below average, no better than anybody else's burger! They were very dry!!. I could maybe see someone buying 1 if they were the only place open selling burgers or U just had a craving for 1. Of course the plate presentation looked nothing like what is displayed on their commercial. Now, IHop wants to claim that it was 1 big joke or publicity stunt??🤔 Who in their right mind spends the money they did on advertising, air time, etc.. just to say it was a joke!! Just be honest & admit that ur burgers are a disappointment & didn't sell like U hoped!! The Fruit Punch was extremely acidic & taste more like Pineapple Juice w/ red coloring in it. The Fries were actually the best part of the meal & I would order them any day before ordering a burger & they weren't the best fries I have ever had, just eatable. The Classic Burger was priced around $6.99 & the Classic w/ Bacon & Cheese was almost $10( they must use only the best bacon & cheese😄). Definitely will not be ordering another hamburger from a pancake place!!. Stick to breakfast food & maybe just become creative with it. Sorry the food was so disappointing it was not worth wasting my time...
Read moreI rarely give out reviews but my experience this time around was incredibly horrible. My mother and son go to this location regularly. So I decided to join with them. We were told right off the bat that the credit card machines were down earlier and be prepared to pay with cash. I said that was fine we’ve got both. Long story short out waitress asks for $30 because she needs to pay for a hotel room (along with what was going on in her life). I gave her the $30 “tip” on a 20 something bill and told her not to worry about it. I asked if we could pay for our meal with a card. She said yes. My mother felt uneasy being asked for a tip and she felt as though we were being scammed. So we called to simply ask if the card machine had been down at all earlier that day and we were told no. I get lied and cheated. Even though I made the decision to make a nice tip I felt that one lie could of been the 1st of many. So I spoke with the manger because I wanted to give her a heads up. She was extremely sorry and told me she would handle it and call me back. 15 minutes later she calls me WITH OUR SERVER ON THE PHONE. Now I’m arguing back and forth with my server with the manager listening; trying to explain why she shouldn’t of lied to me. Not only was that unprofessional to have a customer on the phone with the server but also incredibly rude and disrespectful. That should be been handle privately without me being called. I was refunded my tip but we will never go back to...
Read moreToday's breakfast was rather disappointing. My wife and I have eaten at this IHOP many times before, and today was the first time we felt like the bacon, and the pancakes, were like something we'd get from a buffet line that was cooked sometime earlier and just sitting there, sadly awating someone to put it on a plate. Out of 8 strips of bacon (4 on my wife's plate, 4 on mine), all of which was supposed to be "extra crispy" as we'd told our server (and as he'd repeated), maybe one whole inch of bacon was kinda crispy ... mostly, it was tough, lukewarm, and too chewy. The pancakses ... each of us ordered the same "current specialty" version ... were heavy, dense, chewy, and so low-temp that the whipped cream dolloped on them never even melted a little bit. Our eggs and hashbrowns were done nicely, I'll give them that -- but if I'd seen anyone in management, I'd have expressed our disatisfaction. The only reason we ate (most of) our meal was that we were both really hungry, and we had an appointment we had to get do. Otherwise, we'd have requested the meal -- or at least the bacon and the pancakes -- to be done over, and done correctly. We won't be back anytime soon -- and this was on a Thursday, mid-morning, when they were only about half full. After all, if IHOP can't een get PANCAKES right, why...
