Luanda Restaurant turned out to be an unexpected surprise. From the outside, it looks quite ordinary, and the interior design is nothing particularly remarkable. However, the food had a comforting, homemade quality that made the visit worthwhile. I started with the Caldo Verde, a traditional collard green and chorizo soup, which had an incredibly rich and flavorful broth—absolutely delicious and very satisfying. The chicken fingers, on the other hand, did not taste homemade and were somewhat average. For the main course, I had a well-seasoned grilled chicken breast served with crispy fries and flavorful chickpea rice. The combination was simple but hearty and enjoyable. To accompany the meal, I tried two different caipirinhas, one flavored with passion fruit and the other with mango—both were refreshing and well-balanced. The service was attentive and efficient, making the dining experience even better. There was an 18% surcharge added to the bill, but I didn’t mind it at all, considering the level of service provided. Overall, I would definitely recommend stopping by Luanda Restaurant during a visit, especially for those looking to enjoy comforting, homestyle flavors.

For starters it’s a bar environment with a Dj not a lounge , during day it’s a restaurant. The cover on this particular Sunday night was $20 , kinda pricey . You have to wait in line for your turn to buy one drink, a beer is $7 , liquor with any juice is $22 , their pour is not 1.5 oz they just eye it . Mind you my friend is a DJ, heavy security presence it is Brockton after all, the bouncers are super friendly, the music is very lively dance floor is tight with many intoxicated Cape Verdean patrons , no drama just dancing , women hang in clicks and grind hard on each other, they shoo men away . You have to navigate to get to the only inclusive gender bathroom with is at end of bar on the dance floor. I had a good time despite the hefty cover charge for a bar w a live DJ. The pour was weak too they charging nyc prices for weak drinks , also they charge you first prior to getting your drink, which was delivered 8 minutes after I ordered it . My review is honest and no filter , mind you I bartend professionally . The experience left me cheated truly however the music is upbeat with popular Cape Verdean vibe as well As hip hop songs .

I just had to take a moment to express my immense satisfaction with the dining experience my family and I had at your restaurant recently. The food is undeniably amazing! From the diverse range of options in your menu to the delicious results that landed on our plates, we were truly impressed. We visited after church, and it was such a delight to see the variety of food offerings that catered to everyone in my family. Our overall experience was simply great. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and comfortable, providing the perfect setting for a relaxed meal with loved ones. Moreover, the friendly and attentive service we received added to the positive atmosphere. I must say, the food at your restaurant is extremely good, and it stands out without a doubt. There is truly nothing to envy about any other place when it comes to the quality of the food you serve. Thank you once again for providing such an exceptional dining experience. We are already looking forward to our next visit and more delightful meals at your fantastic establishment. Warm regards, Franchesca

Ok. Years later. Nothing is better. Unfortunately, I ordered from them again 7/24/25. Big mistake. I ordered over $130 of food online. The website says that orders over $100 need to be paid upfront. Ok. No problem. However, the website doesn't support payments because the owners/operators won't pay for that service. As a very small business owner myself, with a Wix account (just like them), I don't buy it. I live 2 streets away. I placed a pickup order that would've taken an estimated 50 minutes to fulfill. I also understand that my order was large. In the past, my orders were never as large as today's order. Their pickup & delivery times are notoriously LONG . No problem. However, an associate called me right after I finally sent the order. Not to take my payment because they couldn't do that over the phone even though I was ready to do so in order to make it right. The associate & the other party who called after I hung up with the original associate directed me to a payment option that I needed to sign up for in order to make the payment before the order begins to be prepared. They tell me I have to pay via: Zelle, Venmo, or Apple Pay exclusively & that they couldn't take my payment over the phone, which I was totally prepared to give after a looooooong day of work & way too many conversations without the result of getting food for my family. At this point, I just wanted to cancel the order & I did. Seriously, guys. Get it together! Brockton is NOT better because you're here. I'm so surprised you're still in business. Smh.

love supporting local businesses. That being said, this restaurant doesn't care about their reputation. Whether I order directly from them or through a 3rd party like Grub Hub, they get the order correct, maybe 50% of the time. It always takes FOREVER to get your order. They pressure you to Cashapp them for their convenience. I have no problem paying more for delicious food & great service. This restaurant delivers neither consistently. Such a disappointment. I am the 2nd generation of my family to frequent this establishment. My sons are the 3rd. We are disappointed. We will not be back. Food is good when they...

My fiancé works near the restaurant and picks up take out all the time, which I was always happy with. Tonight though we decided to go to dinner at the restaurant after he got out of work at 10 (which we have never done before, and will never again) we waited for the waiter to come back for a few mins so we could order, our drinks were forgotten about so my fiancé went to the bar to grab them (they were two sodas) then we got our food, which didn’t take long. In the beginning of starting to eat our food I noticed a piece of hair inside of my pile of rice. I started pulling it out while my fiancé watched the whole thing and the waitress walked up at the same time witnessing me pull it out. I didn’t freak out, but I was all set with my food at that point. I ended up taking a few bites of my fiancé’s food while waiting for a check and a box for his dinner. At this point I wasn’t upset at all, I’ve been in the restaurant industry for about ten years and understand sometimes things happen and it’s no ones fault. The thing that really pissed me off is when the girl with the head set came back to the table and said the only possibility was that it was my hair and they had checked the color of the hair etc. I was very taken aback by that statement first off second my fiancé watched me pull it from the middle of the pile of rice and third I never flipped out or got mad or was rude at any point but to have some girl come up to me and basically tell me it was my hair like I placed it there or was some type of idiot!?! Yah no thank you. My fiancé has spent a lot of money there, always tips them very well but for that girl to come up to us and say that was out of line, and rude. You will no longer have my fiancé’s business because I’m the one who always asks him to get food from there, and he was as taken aback as I was when she figuratively pointed the finger at me. Rule #1 in the restaurant business it doesn’t matter if it’s a mistake or an accident or whatever the guest comes first, you apologize and keep it moving, not tell them their wrong. Very...

If you are looking for tasty CV food that is legit, then please keep it moving to Dorchester and see Cesaria's because Luanda's isn't it. We went there on a whim, since we were close by in Brockton. We were seated before other patrons, but for some reason patrons that showed quite a while after us, were served well before us. After an hour and a half of waiting for our main course, our food arrived flat on taste and boring in flavor. The wings tasted like they were previously frozen, the steak and chicken were dry, and the fish had no seasoning. For a healthy kick in the pants on our way out the door we were given this bill as dessert. For the quality of food served in-conjunction with bad service, the bill was almost laughable. Not to mention the menu didn't even have the prices listed. After speaking with a staff member we were given a modest discount as compensation for our inconvenience and 2 hours of time wasted. (20% waived) I don't expect any restaurant to prepare food like my grandmother, however I do expect my food to be delivered quicker than 1.5 hours of being seated, as well as quality matching price point. Please take a look at the photo and explain to me how that steak is $28? That's not even a rib-eye. You'll never see me...
