I don't usually write restaurant reviews (good or bad), but this has to be shared. When we arrived at 3:20 PM, we were seated in the dining room in a booth and there was only one other couple in there who finished and left 10 minutes later. Shortly after that our server arrived, complained about staffing and the location of her tables, but took our drink and meal order. When we arrived, we expected to be done before 4:00 to beat the rush hour traffic, so we ordered light: 2 unsweetened iced teas, the signature Doyles Steak and Goat cheese salad, a tuna melt and a baked potato. About 30-minutes after our arrival, the dining room started filling up. Our server walked past us at least 20 times and didn't acknowledge us, at all. Finally, an hour after arrival food came out...for the table behind us that had only been there 30 minutes. The server tried walking past us again, but we stopped her and asked where our food was, that we had been there an hour and at least 30 minutes before anyone else in the dining room. She went over to the register tapped a couple times and told us it was in the system in the kitchen (Lie #1). About 3 minutes later I heard yelling in the kitchen and ending with the words "...baked potato!" Another 7 minutes later, food came out (you see where this is going) and it went to the table that got seated 15 minutes ago. We stood up and the person who just delivered the food came running over and said our food is ready in the kitchen and the server is bringing it right out (Lie #2). She apologized because our order wasn't initially submitted. While she is trying to cajole us into sticking around, our server came out of the kitchen empty-handed and proceeded to start bussing the table where the couple that left 50-minutes ago were seated. We walked out. My wife was too nice and left $10 for the half-drunk unsweetened iced teas. On the way out, I asked the hostess to speak to a manager, and she said, "he wasn't working today". We usually give restaurants and servers a lot of leeway, but we will not put up with the lying to our faces...twice. Who knows what the condition of the food would have been after the ruckus in the kitchen. We have been eating there 2 to 3 times a month with my father, and we typically get prime rib, lobster and other $30 dishes. We will...
