Curvy's Cupcakes — Restaurant in Brookfield

Rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. I wasn’t going to leave a review because I don’t like to leave negative comments on small businesses, but this was unacceptable.

I called to ask about having a cake made. They don’t even take calls. Their voicemail says they “screen calls” due to so many sales calls. I at least expected the courtesy of a phone call back to do things properly. Instead, I get text messages with huge gaps between them. She gave me a date she could do the cake and I missed a text about what to include on the card… nothing that prevented the cake from being done. Then I get a text about how it won’t be done now by the day agreed upon because I didn’t get back to her via text and I didn’t pay. If THEY HAD CALLED ME AT ANY POINT, like a professional business would if they had questions or wanted payment, it wouldn’t have ever been an issue. After all, I DID call them to begin with to take care of everything properly. But they like to text so they have a “written record” and then not do the order. How unprofessional can you be?

UPDATED: in response to their reply Most businesses discuss payment and ask for it. I didn’t think it was the customer’s job to ask a business about them being paid. Im supposed to be the customer and do their job? I was more than happy to pay, I mean, I did reach out for a service and expected to pay, yet the BUSINESS never brought that up.

I also never said I “expected it” to be worked on. They claim they use text for documentation, they should at least document correctly. Instead they use it to lie. This was my exact reply:

“Hi! Yes, I do. I was hoping it was going to be ready and out tomorrow since you said mid week. I missed your last message. Sorry.”

What was rude about that? When I was told it would no longer be ready at THE TIME AGREED TO IN WRITING, I simply said I would go elsewhere. I’m also not sure what “tone” is being implied here since you can’t get “tone” over a text. I simply said I would go elsewhere and that I thought it was being worked on given our previous messages… Again, wouldn’t have been an issue or an assumed wrong doing if SOMEONE HAD SIMPLY CALLED LIKE I HAD TO BEGIN WITH!!!

Rude, arrogant, unprofessional, AND a liar. RUN from this place. You can’t have a conversation like this over text. I’m also not giving you my card information (THAT YOU NEVER ASKED...

Have ordered from Curvy’s on more than one occasion. Most recently I ordered cupcakes for my husband’s birthday.The baker suggested summer flavors since his birthday is in August. We chose the pina colada, the peach and the plum flavors.The cake was light as a feather and the icing is like heaven! The fruit fillings were all so delicious and fresh tasting. I can’t even pick a favorite! The time before that I ordered croissants for when I had friends staying over. I ordered lemon cream, almond, chocolate and strawberry cheesecake. The pastry was flaky and soft and the fillings were substantial and all were to die for delicious! The packaging is so pretty and the owner/baker is such a sweetheart who makes you feel like you’ve known her for years.I’ll definitely order from...

Sara was more than accommodating and very responsive when I reached out pretty close to the date of my daughter's wedding after learning we needed to switch gears with our original dessert plan. I had a new vision which I expected might not be doable and her response was I don't usually do that, but I can! Some additional treat suggestions she made were right on the money... the glittery chocolate dipped pretzels were unexpectedly awesome! Stuffed sweet croissants, I wouldn't have thought to request, but so perfect for our farm wedding - they disappeared!
