Salsa Taqueria & Wings — Restaurant in Brookhaven

Halal Mexican is rare and halal Mexican food that tastes GOOD is also rare. I waited to get some pictures before writing this review and I am happy I did. I have had the following:

Tacos: Great little treats that pack tons of flavor and ST&W has a good few choices when it comes to protein. My personal favorites were the asada (steak) and pollo (chicken).

Burritos: The asada, picadillo (ground beef), and pollo. ALL are PACKED and provide the same punch as the tacos. Its rare to get a burrito that is seasoned all the way through and my family is in consensus that these burritos are great.

Tortas: I have had the pollo and asada tortas and they are a marvel. I implore the owners to maintain the quality of bread and quality of filling. I LOVED the pillow soft bread and perfected toasting that went along with its delicious filling. So good.

Enchiladas: I have had the pollo. Utterly...fantastic. I do not know what they did to the beans but they alone were great. The beans paired with the cheesy chicken goodness and green chili sauce blew my mind. I loved it. Put into sound form it was "MMmfffff". So good.

Philly Cheese Steak: The BIGGEST surprise. I have had halal philly cheese steak in Philadelphia and those were great but this one was wonderful. PACKED to the edges and overflowing with cheese and onion and tender beef, this philly was amazing. Joy and a total surprise. Many thanks and please do not change.

Nachos: I had the picadillo nachos and they were fantastic. I know I have been giving glowing reviews to everything but there is a reason, its actually good. Pairing the nachos with their sour cream/cheese and jalapenos creates another "MMmffff" situation. I love it. Crunch, mmmfff, and spice. Perfect combination.

So so good. Delicious filled tacos and quesadilla you will be punched in the mouth with flavour in each bite. Im not sure we even talked because the food was just so good.

Cheap and cheerful big portions.

The place is in a gas station its small and cosy but you are there for the food not fancy seating. They do have additional seating out doors and restrooms.

If you like mexican food this is the place to be. Its all halal and its displayed on the signage and door. We are visiting the area but i know if we lived here we would be here once a week!

There was a constant flow of customers and i was so pleased for them!

We were stuffed but were still...

Today was the day that The Most High (Allah) blessed my soul in a most delectable way… I researched restaurants that had birria tacos. I found this precious gem (Salsa Taqueria) on Yelp and I had to take a trip and see what the rave was all about. My daughters and I went for lunch today and I didn’t know what to expect. I was excited and hungry at the same time. I placed our order and I was so pleased with the customer service and we only waited for a short period of time for our food.

Our food was brought to the table and after praying over this lovely looking meal, my taste buds were taken in so many places at once. The plates the food were served on were so vibrant and alluring. The food was so fresh and satisfying- I was thoroughly impressed. This will be a go to spot for my family from now on. I highly recommend...
