Mosa Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Chamblee

I wanted to like this place so bad! I traveled from stl to atl looking for places to eat and found them on TikTok. It’s decorated really pretty and girly. I loved the asthestics. I ordered friend greens tomatoes for my appetizer. It was pretty good. My blueberry mimosa was good. But the chicken and waffles was disgusting. I ate the fruit on top on the waffles which was fresh. The actual waffles was nasty. And the chickennnnnnn omg it wasn’t even fully cooked. The crust was falling off soon as I picked it up and the inside was rubbery and wasn’t fully cooked. I tasted one piece and it wasn’t done. I tried another to make sure I wasn’t tripping and it wasn’t done either. I didn’t bother to try the other 2. I told the waitress that it wasn’t done and if they can cook another batch that’s cooked fully and I take it to go. They brought me a box to go with 2 chickens wings lol. I just thought that was so petty. Like yall could at least put 4 in there since all 4 chicken wings wasn’t cooked fully. I guess they thought well you ate the other 2. lol which I really didn’t, the chicken was literally picked through. Plate was full of food. Crazy thing is even the 2 chicken wings wasn’t fully cooked either!!! I couldn’t even eat that either!!! Crispy on the outside, uncooked in the inside!! I started to feel sick when I got to my hotel. I end throwing up!!!! I was sick for the rest of the day. I drove out here for a small concert and couldn’t even enjoy it because I was constantly throwing up!!!! I’m so pissed this place really messed up my trip!! This my first time to Atlanta I guess I picked the wrong place to eat!!!

UPDATE: IM STILL SICK FROM EATING HERE!!! 3 days later!! I JUST WOKE UP MAD ALL OVER AGAIN! Had to call off from work today! Let me just add on the fact it took them Hellas to bring us some water which was $3. Like water should be put on the table soon as customers sit down like any other restaurant lol idk I guess that’s how yall do it in the A. On top of that, why it’s taking yall 20 minutes to bring a bottle of water? Took Hellas to bring out some uncooked food, like what was yall doing back there the whole time? If it’s gon take that long you’ll think the food would be fully cooked. seem like the chicken grease was too hot because it was crispy on the outside and not done in the inside. Yall definitely need a new cook!!! The waitress was too busy chilling by the dj booth, it was hard trying to get her attention. Well at least the photographer was nice. I hate to leave this review but I’m going to be honest. The place is a vibe. The waitresses are amazing and the owner was a sweetheart. We had a table of 15 for a baby shower brunch hosted for myself and my sister. Everything was amazing until we got our food. I personally ordered the French toast sliders and they were cold after waiting for about 45 mins for them to come. No biggie. I still ate them. They made extra fried green tomatoes and gave them to us for free and I gave them a go however they were almost tasteless to me. They didn’t have much flavor. Again no biggie. I ordered the Cajun shrimp pasta and added mushrooms and onions. When I finally received my food which was maybe another 45 minutes my shrimp was severely over cooked. I literally had to saw into the shrimp with my team to remove them from the shell and even with doing that the tail wouldn’t even come out the shell. I initially was going to eat it because I was hungry but my bestfriend refused to let me eat it and had it sent back. My friend asked if the steak and eggs had onions in it and she was told it only had peppers but when she got her food and began to it she discovered onions. My cousin and another friend found shrimp shells in their fries which was weird because they don’t serve fried shrimp so how did that happen? My cousin also said her salmon tasted old and fishy. The owner did come out and ask if I wanted anything else and I finally just ordered cheese grits, turkey bacon and pancakes. I can’t really say I liked that either. The mock tail that I got was delicious though! From what I heard from the folks that could drink is that the drinks were on point. Overall they took off $150 from the bill for the messed up food. They don’t do separate checks so we spent a long time trying to figure out who had what just to pay. Overall all the vibe was a 10 the customer service was a 10 but the food was an absolute NO! I would definitely return for the vibe and drinks but I couldn’t recommend the food. It’s all very pretty but it didn’t taste good at all for the price. I don’t know who the cook was but they need to be fired because he ruined a really great event for us. We carefully picked this place for our babyshower and we’re highly disappointed. I honestly wish we would have just gone to longhorns or something but nonetheless the vibe and customer service really saved this...

Underwhelming…

Dined here for my friend’s birthday. It was 9:30 AM when we arrived so we were the only ones in the restaurant for a while so just keep that in mind. When walking in as TikTok states, it’s beautiful. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. We ordered appetizers first: Fried Green Tomatoes and French Toast Sliders. The sliders were cool. Kind of basic and comes with three. Now the fried green tomatoes were very interesting. They were topped with sun dried tomatoes which kind of didn’t make sense. I’m eating tomatoes on top of tomatoes lol. The tomatoes were also cut very thick so after while you kind of get tired eating it. That’s just my opinion though.

$12 for one mimosas is kind of crazy. $100 for a mimosas tower is even more crazy especially when they are only $5 during their happy hour.

I ordered the French toast with chicken wings. The chicken was 0/10 for me. The coating doesn’t stick well to the chicken. The chicken meat itself is questionable. It was hard to pull apart like rubbery, a lot of fat and just didn’t look right to me. The French toast was basic. They also do not serve warm syrup. My friends also said their food was just ok.

The service was aight. Our waitress switched randomly and the new person didn’t even greet us or tell us their name just wait straight to “are yall ready to order” that threw us off. Then towards the end we were told “the reservation for this table is here so” and just looked at us. While we understand the website states there is a 2 hour limit, it would have been nice to get a heads up as time was running out instead of “yall need to leave” also the reservation wasn’t even there and there were multiple open tables and our table wasn’t special so it just kind of seemed off. Also watched them clean one table after a party and food was left behind after being cleaned by 2 people.
