I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience after being mistakenly accused of not paying my tab.
First, if you’re looking for a great atmosphere and good music, this place is definitely worth a visit for a drink or two. However, I was disappointed with the food. I ordered a burger, and the bun was stale, which is unacceptable. When I mentioned this to the waitress, she seemed confused and offered me another bun after I pointed out how hard it was. Unfortunately, the second bun was also stale.
When I brought this to the manager’s attention, she explained that their bread is different from standard burger buns and that they don’t typically cook burgers, which is puzzling since it’s on the menu. She offered me a 15% discount, but that didn’t really help since I still had to pay taxes and gratuity.
To make matters worse, I was accused of not paying my bill, which was incredibly offensive since I did pay for the burger I couldn’t even eat.
Here are a few suggestions for improvement:
Consider changing the burger bun to ensure it’s fresh and not stale. Have your kitchen staff double-check the quality of the food before serving. Ensure that servers accurately match customers to their tabs. If you have a final sale policy, the quality of American dishes needs to be better.
Additionally, I would like a refund for this experience. I am not comfortable paying for food that was below standard and then being accused of not settling my tab. While the vibes are great, there is clearly room for improvement in the kitchen and in...
Read moreI had the worst experience here. I used to come to Little Lagos often before they remodeled and now it’s nice and racy inside but the quality is 0. I came with a group of 4 on a Saturday night on the restaurant side and they said it was a $200 minimum spending charge but the tables next to us did not spend $200.Also we were in the restaurant section which is separate from the bottle service area so that charge fee should be removed especially if they went to pick and choose who to apply it to. Our server had a very rude attitude the TVs were so loud we had to scream to take our order. We asked several times if the boxing match sound could be reduced some because it was uncomfortable loud. I asked to speak with the manager nothing was done. The hookah was also horrible and even when they switched it was bad. The hookah made me sick. The food taste good but with that kind of service I’ll never go back. To the owner if you care about your establishment please reach your waitress and staff proper customer service and etiquette spent $250 on a horrible...
Read moreAttempted to visit another business in the same area but changed our minds after walking in, checked Google for reviews and decided to stop in here instead. We passed the restaurant once and had to double back. The outside is a little discreet like we like it and the inside is even more of a vibe. The dark setting, lights and music was everything we needed for date night. Sat at the bar. Deona was our bartender/server. She was cool and did a great job explaining dishes on the menu. The drinks were strong and man the food may have been the best African food I’ve had. The beef suya was tender and not dry unlike other places i’ved visit. I paired it with the Jerk pasta. Man! The jerk pasta is hot as heck but if you love hot stuff getting a plain jerk pasta (no meat) is exactly what you need. Chefs kiss. The jollof rice with beef was great. Pretty spicy as well. Plantains were delicious. This place exceeded our expectations. We will be back to try more food, and to get that jerk...
