I’ve tried Deli Zone in Broomfield many times over the years and it just isn’t working for me. Previously, probably 15ish years ago, I used to go to the location on Hwy 287 near Miramonte and initially loved it and was a thrice-per-week customer along with some coworkers I’d take with me. Management there changed hands to an Asian lady and so then wonderful heaping sandwiches turned into a barebones affair. I got into it with her one day because the sandwich was so dinky and she angrily asked if I was going to pay for it or not— I said not unless you make it right and she took the sandwich and asked the first person who walked through the door if they wanted a free sandwich. It was worth it to her to lose my $9 and my business rather than add a few more cheap toppings. Fine, clearly I never went to that location again and I’m unsure if it’s even still there.
Fast forward to now, and I’ve tried the 120th / Sheridan location on a few occasions since they opened. Usually it’s a bunch of kids running the place, and they’re usually loud and act without much class. They were loud today while we were there, shouting across the kitchen, talking over the sandwich they’re making you, and generally being obnoxious. The things they laugh about make me wonder what else they think is funny when no one else is looking... but that’s just conjecture on my part. Today, I ordered a veggie sandwich plus bacon and it was terrible. There’s no “substance” to it. Go over to Big Dog Deli and order a veggie sandwich and it’s piled so thick with artichokes and other goodness and you don’t even miss the meat (I’m not vegetarian by any stretch). The Deli Zone sandwich (large) that I ordered “to go” was like biting into a black hole... there’s just nothing there. Even the bacon I paid for extra was just a single strip across the length of the sandwich— who makes a sandwich this way? It was almost $12 and a ripoff. I can’t recommend this place after numerous attempts. Jimmy Johns (not the one at 120th / Chase !) is miles better and more filling, as well as Big Dog Deli that...
Read moreSo I've been going to Deli Zone in Boulder for the better part of 22 years. I used to work near the Valmont location and would go in every day.
Fast forward to 2020 and I live in Broomfield now. Reminiscing about my hometown of NYC, I missed the kaiser egg sandwiches I used to get back in the old country. So, for the past 3 years, I have ordered them from DoorDash/DZ Sheridan. 117 times to be exact. Total spend? $2k+. And that has all come to an end. To say that I was treated pretty horribly is an understatement. I ordered some breakfast sandwiches through DoorDash to be delivered to me. Of course, I got the DoorDash driver who decided he wanted to throw my food away rather than deliver it. He was in the vicinity of my house and then drove away. Never delivered my food. So I call DoorDash. They refund me and tell me to order again. So I do. About 20 minutes after I do, I get a text saying the order was cancelled by Deli Zone. Confused, I call Deli Zone. As soon as I say DoorDash and breakfast, the gentleman starts screaming at me saying I cancelled an order so now he is cancelling mine. Unfortunately, there was an obvious language barrier and he was spitting mad at me, which would have been abated if I could get a word in edgewise. He would not let me explain what had happened and how I still wanted my breakfast. After using some choice words, he hung up on me and then would not take my call again. If I called, he'd just hang up. Well, Deli Zone, your loss. I looked at my records. In the last 2 years, I ordered from you 117 times. Yes, 117. Total spend was $2,372.13. You know where I'll NEVER order from again? Deli Zone. You know who will hear about this experience? EVERYONE. Should have let me explain rather than...
Read moreI took my 2 twin granddaughters here on Sunday 10/20/24 because they love boba! It was a special day as we were celebrating their 10th birthday and we had just had manis and pedis done a few shops down. When one of the granddaughters was giving this older VERY RUDE lady named Ying her order, the lady snapped at her and said "what!?" I went ahead and placed the orders for both girls even though I try to let them do things like that on their own. The whole time, she was being very nasty to me so I sent the girls outside to sit at an outdoor table, explaining that I didn't like the way she was talking to us and I had to have a chat with her. The girls went outside and waited. I proceeded to pay and she gave me a receipt to sign, which I did not give a tip (why should I?). She looked at it, gave me a dirty look and harshly put the receipt onto her holder. I stood there for a minute and she asked "what do you want?". I told her I wanted my receipt and she literally threw it at me. I told her she was the most nasty person working in customer service that I've ever met and she would be losing a customer. She pretended she didn't understand me. I took a picture of the filth behind their counter under the grill and forwarded it to an associate at the Broomfield Public Health and...
