Taqueria El Taco Loco — Restaurant in Brownsville

I love going here in the day but in the night it's a total mess. I went and I ordered 15 tacos. Will bistek and 10 of trompo. 1 torta of bistek and one of trompo. And other things. I drove all the way from San Benito to get tacos from this place. The lady takes my order and everything's fine. Maybe like 15 minutes later they put an order out and they just set it on the counter. So I noticed that some girl came in and everybody came out of the kitchen to say hi to her. Even the cashier went and sat with her at the table. My order was was sitting on the counter where they cashier was for at least 10 minutes. And she never said anything. She never told me that was my order or anything. Finally, after the 10 minutes she tells me that's my order and I leave. I get home and I realize that they gave me 25 tacos of bistek. So I called to see if I could speak to a manager or something and she tells me that they don't have one. So then I tell her that they messed my order and then she said she's going to replace the tacos. 5 minutes go by and my phone rings and she calls me back and tells me that the guys in the kitchen said they gave me the tacos of trompo pretty much calling me a liar. She called me back to tell me that I was a liar. I love the food here but I will never go here at night again terrible service. But the audacity for them to call me back to tell me that I'm a liar. And that they have cameras well, I guess I'm going to tell the owner to review the cameras tomorrow so they can all see that they were in some girl that walked in's ass. And didn't even care about...

I was mislead by the waiter on one of their sandwiches. ..he told me it was chicken and motioned like it was a breast..but it was not..it was shredded chicken which I could count the shreds on the sandwich and it was full of lettuce and tomatoes. The bread was good, though. We got our food to go. Everything was smashed together because there were no carrying trays. Our food was packed and foil and the tacos were meshed all together. Okay, I let that minor thing pass with the foil.....okay i said "they were trying." I patronize any small business trying to make it. On top of all that..I ate it anyway, giving chances...Iike I do. The worst thing is...is that... I have been sick throwing up since. I have had the worst experience ever since eating here. I don't like to give bad reviews..but I am sick as hell and I don't want anyone else to experience the horror. Maybe your experience will be...

Food has never been the problem for me. But the other night on 10/31/24 the service was really horrible. By horrible I mean the worst service I’ve had in any restaurant. One , they don’t bother to answer the phone when trying to make an order to go.. (it was dead when we arrived) and two we were standing there for the longest time even after the lady asked if we wanted to place an order. She proceeded by cleaning up two tables when there was no urgency to do so and then started throwing the trash away while we were standing there waiting to order. I had to ask the gentleman if he could take our order, she took offense to that and came to us with an attitude asking for our order.

This is a family establishment to me, I have always supported them but if this happens again, I don’t see...
