Made a mobile phone order placed through Popeye's AP with Brownwood TX Popeyeâs, ordered at 5:30 pm on 2/10/23, (live 30 miles away), arrived at Popeyeâs at 6pm, at speaker for 15 minutes listening to every word window person was saying before being acknowledged. Told to drive to window, food not ready, told to wait up front of restaurant, after waiting a reasonable amount of time, physically went into restaurant and spoke to cashier/behind counter, really rude didn't say much of anything, slowest moving person I have ever seen besides the more rude manager, they finally got order completed at 7:15, when got out to car checked order and still wasn't complete, went back in and obtained what was missing. The food was good as usual and did get extra fries. The whole purpose of a mobile AP in placing an order is to have it ready upon arrival, not be told mobile ap orders are started upon arrival which is what manager said, this is not true from previous experience. We have done several mobile phone orders in previous weeks, food was always ready, and the staff was always cheerful and helpful. I don't know what happened to Brownwood Popeye's in the last two weeks, but whatever changes were made were not good. We won't be going back until management changes. I am not going to spend my hard earned money on rude, non-caring, incompetent staff, The only bright spot was the young lady assisted ne in carrying out food, who had just started and only had been working 3 hours, was full of hustle and was cheerful and helpful. I don't expect she will be there long having to exist with that terrible manager and incompetent cashier, they are not going to be a good influence for her. I made sure to tell her she was not the problem. In closing this was the worst experience I have had in any restaurant anywhere. Rude, slow, lazy and just plain incompetent. I will be going back to...
Read moreWe placed a mobile order at this location and selected the option for drive-thru pick-up only to be told they don't give mobile orders through the drive-thru and we would have to come inside. We drove around and parked, then my husband went inside. He said the order number and asked for the manager. No other questions as to who he was or if he was actually the only who ordered (this is relevant in a minute). The manager came to the front and politely greeted my husband (bonus points there). My husband asked why they didn't give the mobile orders through the drive-thru to which the manager said it was for their safety and to verify who was picking up ther order. My husband said that made no sense since no one asked who he even was when he asked for the order. It's understandable with a Doordash, but placing a mobile order for drive-thru pick up is no different than placing the order at the drive-thru menu. The manager apologized and reference contacting corporate.
Now....the quality of the food came into question when we tasted it. While it was correct, and it was crispy, there was NO flavor on the chicken. It literally tasted like fried flour and plain chicken. No seasonings at all. I had to use the BBQ sauce they gave us to eat my classic fried chicken. The tenders were also bland, though there was seasoning on them at least. It's unfortunate, because we do love Popeyes. We haven't had a bad experience until visiting this location. Hopefully, improvements can be made to...
Read moreWe pulled up to the order board and saw the sign, "Say hello to order." We do. The guy says, "Wait a minute." 13 minutes later. The vehicle behind us backs up to go park to go inside, and so do we. We should have taken that as a sign and just left, but no. We park and go in. With only one other customer inside the store, the one who also backed up out of the drive through, it still took 7 minutes to actually get an order taken and then to find out they don't have our family's favorite "red beans and rice" we should have left. They didn't know when the truck would be bringing more. But we've already invested 20 minutes in ordering food from here. Another 18 minutes pass before we get our food. We watched the guy who had been in the drive-through in front of us have to come inside because his food wasn't right after he waited over 40 minutes in the drive-through. We checked our food before we left, and we found the spicy tenders were regular tenders. So, we had to go back inside to get that fixed. Now, we head down the road, having been there for almost 50 minutes for what was supposed to be a drive-through order, thinking everything will be okay. We should have known better. All the regular chicken had a spicy flavor to it. It wasn't actually spicy. It was more like it was cooked in the same oil after the spicy chicken, so the outside was spicy. It was a very disappointing meal. We now know to never stop at this Popeyes again on our way...
