Placed an order using the online ordering link from their website on 5/28/21. Got a confirmation, showed up at the appointed time. After waiting half an hour, I am finally told they don't actually use the online ordering system on their website, so my online payment would be refunded and I would need to pay in person. Fine, but no update on status. After another 10-15 minutes, and being shown several order tickets and asked if they were mine, they finally asked to see my order, which I pulled up on my phone. They then WALKED OFF WITH MY UNLOCKED PHONE for nearly five minutes, out of my line of sight. They then returned with my phone and said it would be 10 more minutes. When my order was finally ready, I paid at the register, and it was slightly more than the online system by a few dollars, which I wasn't going to quibble about after an hour or waiting in restaurant, a full 1.5 hours after my initial order. The only apology or remediation offered was a "sorry" and excuse that they were very busy. The in-dining experience didn't look any better, as the one table eating in had to get up and ask for a box, despite the only people in the restaurant at that point being me and them. To add injury to insult, my order came in a stapled shut bag with a receipt attached. The receipt was accurate. Upon arriving home, my order turned out to be incomplete. I paid for two pad thais, one order of dumplings, and an order of scallion pancakes. The scallion pancakes were missing. Full disclosure, after my experience up to that point, I did not have the energy to call and complain so I don't know if they'd have offered any reasonable response to make that right. As for the food itself, the pad thai was bland and lacked any memorable depth of flavor; if felt like what you can make at home with a preassembled box kit from the grocery store. The steamed dumplings were unpleasantly mushy wrapper with no chew/bounce to the dough and no particular flavor to the stuffing. The dipping sauce was overly salty and again, tasted like straight up bottled sauce from the grocery store. Honestly, I could have picked up frozen dumplings and a Taste of Asia box pad thai kit at Hannaford and made my own mediocre dinner in less time for slightly more effort and way less frustration. I definitely do not recommend...
Read moreI ordered three things Chicken satay, mixed vegetables, and mango sticky rice I'll start with the best, the mango sticky rice. I'm not sure if it's just because it's my first time having it or what but, oh my, so yum. Mango slices with this sticky clump of rice, some (I'm assuming) condensed milk or likewise, I soaked a slice of mango in it. Perfection. Chicken satay. This is my second time having this dish, the sauce was really liquidy, it's possible it wasn't the peanut sauce but it didn't seem like soy or anything spicy. I prefer a thicker sauce so i can scoop it on the chicken. But it was delicious regardless. The vegetables were steamed, and just that. No flavor, very simple steamed vegetables, the kind that makes kids hate veggies. Thank you, Bangkok...
Read moreMy Red Sea was literally a plate full of carrots with a few peices of horribly overcooked seafood and no flavor, any scallops that were on the plate should have been thrown away a week prior. My husband's dish (I don't remember what he ordered) was also way overcooked with old scallops. We each left over half of our meals on the plates. When I mentioned it the server came back a minute or two with the check and said "sorry your scallops were bad" with no adjustment or comp. We eat out A LOT and share our restaurant likes and dislikes with lots of others, we will be sure to share this opinion. You used to have amazing food, now you can just throw it all...
