Food is great! The atmosphere is part of the wonderful experience, except when your being rushed off of your table when they are expecting a larger party . This has happened twice now. Just as our food has arrived for a party of two, we have been asked if we would move for a party coming in an hour later. We are then asked and rushed throughout our entire meal with comments such as “we would appreciate it if you could move when they got here.”Complete and obvious disregard for how we felt about the situation. The owner Kelly and another employee continued to make these statements throughout our meal. Also had to ask for water and extra napkins multiple times when they came to our table to make these comments and had to wait until they next time they arrived at our table empty handed and to make another comment to ask for them again. The part that aggravated us was that we would have most likely have been finished within the hour , but even if we weren’t thats no reason to rush off existing customers to welcome in new ones . Being someone who has had past experience of many years working in the food industry , I know it’s very unprofessional to act in this manner . I could understand ahead of time to ask us to move or sit elsewhere to accommodate a large party…. But while we get our food and throughout the entire meal to feel rushed out , and that the other party was more of a priority was very disappointing. We have been long time customers who have enjoyed this place for years . Unfortunately, the last few times we decided to visit the cafe it has left a sour taste in our mouth and has let down the people that we have raved to about this place . Won’t be coming back here for quite sometime, for no one wants to...
Read moreI went to this place hoping for an amazing crepe and was quite disappointed. I have had crepes in many places including in Rouen and Paris France. One of my favorites is in Myrtle Beach called Crepe Creations which are pretty out there and I visit at least once a month. Kelly's wasn't horrible but nothing I would come back for. The batter tasted like omelette more than crepe. My crepe was "French Toast" and it was nothing but a plain crepe with a banana and cinnamon on top. You have to place your order at the register, then sit then you are semi served. I think it would be nice to either serve everything at the register or wait on guests with a nice printed menu so you can relax while you browse the options rather than trying to make a rushed decision at the register on the hand written hard to read menu on the back board. I think you guys have the concept right but need some refining to get repeated customers. My coffee was serve like 15 minutes before we got our crepes so it got cold and nobody was warming them up. The batter needs to be refined to taste more like a crepe and not an omelette [very eggy]. The place is cluttered with plants, mismatched art and furniture, there were boxes sitting on the back hallway. Definitely needs some revamping to make it more pleasant. I will not be...
Read moreCute little cafe. But is not a full restaurant, so don't be disappointed when you go in and have to order at the register and wait to be served.
Ordered several crepes, both savory and sweet. They were delicious. Every crepe place is different however. With that said, I have had better for the price.
I do want to say something about what others have said about the batter they use. Sweeter crepes will have different batter than the savory crepes. So don't be surprised if you order a savory crepe and it tastes eggy.
Overall, I do think this was a great little local cafe and if you haven't eaten there, you should give it a try. They are good and consistent. Just don't be disappointed that it's not a full service restaurant and if it takes some time to get your order when...
