Eggs-traordinary Breakfast Delight at The Cracked Egg!
In the bustling streets of Brunswick, we stumbled upon a breakfast gem that cracked the code to exceptional morning meals—The Cracked Egg! With a name as pun-tastic as theirs, we couldn't resist giving it a try after our unfortunate encounter with another restaurant that left us egg-nored.
As luck would have it, despite the bustling crowd, we were whisked away to our seats faster than a hen laying an egg. Our friendly server hatched a plan to deliver steaming cups of coffee, warming our souls and kickstarting our day on the sunny side.
The menu boasted an eggs-citing array of breakfast varieties, leaving us with egg-stremely difficult choices to make. With a crackling enthusiasm, we placed our orders.
Shortly after, our plates arrived with admirable promptness. The classics - toast, hash browns, eggs, bacon, and pancakes — were plated with finesse. The kitchen wizards had certainly cracked the secret to preparing eggs-quisite meals. Nothing ventured too far from the ordinary, but sometimes that's exactly what you crave: a reliable and delicious breakfast that hits all the right notes.
We left The Cracked Egg with a satisfied cluck in our step, already planning our return. The egg-cellent food, prompt service, and cozy atmosphere made this a breakfast destination worth cracking open.
So, if you find yourself in Brunswick yearning for a breakfast haven, head straight to The Cracked Egg. They'll ensure you're egg-stremely well taken care of, with dishes that are sunny-side-up, scrambled to perfection, and...
Read moreThis was a decent place to stop for a breakfast. Upon arrival, you can be seated quickly. Service thereafter is pretty quick as well, along with how quickly our food came. The booths are comfortable, and the whole place feels cozy and nice.
I got the Greek skillet and the presentation was wonderful. The eggs were great and I feel like they are high quality eggs and were cooked as I had asked, the rye toast was really good, and the portions were not overwhelming. However, overall the dish seemed to be lacking in flavor. Beyond the eggs and very small pieces of gyro, I felt like there was no flavor in the dish. I think the Greek skillet would be better if maybe there was tzatzki on the side.
I also got the hot tea and it was okay, but I wouldn't get it again or reccomend it because you are basically paying $3 for hot water and a tea bag.
The Greek Skillet was $12 which for the quick service and portion size I would say that's a decent price. However because the flavor left a little to be desired, for the price on the dish I wouldn't get that again. I feel like I could go to IHOP and get albiet lower quality food but for a lot less, or I could go somewhere like La Crepe and pay a little more for high quality, flavorful food.
I don't think this was a bad place but I think for my first visit I didn't know what to order. I wouldn't mind giving this place another try, probably their omlettes or pancakes that way I would know for sure if it was just the dish or if it was the place as a whole.
I will edit the review when I have a chance to...
