Highly debated posting this review because I rarely share negative reviews, but I figured I would want to share with others the experience we had. I brought my toddler with me to go in and grab a sweet treat on a Saturday morning. I ordered a regular sized hot chocolate and a double chocolate danish. I paid, then sat and waited on my drink and food. I realized when the next people came up to order they were asked if it would be for here or to go, which is strange because I wasn’t asked the same question. They also had a whole conversation with the people who ordered after me, but I barely got 2 words. I assumed because I had my toddler (who was behaving very well) they didn’t want me to stay. When they gave me my drink I noticed it was incredibly light, so when I opened the lid I saw that it wasn’t nearly halfway full. SO disappointing all the way around. It’s a shame too, because the hot chocolate was very delicious and I wanted more. The danish is good, but for $6 per pastry, not worth it. I will say the atmosphere was cute, perfect if you want a quiet place to work on school or a work project. Overall, pricey and I most likely would’ve given a much better review if my drink was at least full and I was treated like the people who didn’t have a toddler...

I almost hate to write this review as I've been on a quest to locate the best coffee in Bryan College Station for the past 9 months and this is it. I've been to Dutch Bros, Polite, Starbucks (overpriced burnt beans anyone?), Gogh Gogh and others. Hands down the absolute best either black or, my favorite, The Candlelight. Gogh Gogh had me for awhile with their Starry Night but lately was leaving unknown crunchies at the bottom of the cup. I recommend Candlelight in a to go cup as I talk a bunch and it keeps it toasty. I enjoy the Sammy with side salad. Never thought I'd eat salad at breakfast but the combination works well AND it's healthy. I've heard the blueberry avocado toast is amazing but I don't do avocado at any time so I can't verify. Service is the absolute best! The staff are patient and just awesome people in general. Atmosphere is perfect. Pretty days you can sit outside in downtown Bryan. Every day you can sit inside in this old European style decor. It's typically quiet enough to study, lots of outlets available. Not sure on the wifi as I graduated a long time ago, so no studies for me. Great place to go for conversation, read a book, meet friends, etc. Go ahead and get the rewards app as you will be back and your points earn...

Atmosphere: Only reason why it gets 4 stars and not 5. I get it, it's a hipster joint, but the furniture looks like stuff they picked up from the side of the road where someone was throwing it out. There's buckets of construction materials next to a table which is next to the bathroom. I like the other aspects though: bar to look out the window and people watch (need more stools for this), cool lighting, great display of their cold-brew system and a piano counter thing (?) that's neat. Just needs a bit of finishing up I think.

Service: Always wonderful. They're helpful and kind and accommodating. Knowledgeable. Saw a guy drop half his sandwich on accident and the barista person replaced the entire thing with a smile.

Food/Drinks: I keep trying a different beverage every time I go and have yet to be disappointed. Their coffee is the best flavor I've had and their chai latte is amazing on a rainy day. Cannot go wrong with any beverages there. Food is really unique and delicious. Almost tried every sandwich there and so far my favorite is the chicken pesto one.

Keep coming back to this place and liking it...

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. We ducked in on a very cold day recently and first of all I was surprised by the high prices. We ordered and they made me the wrong drink. They apologized and made me what I ordered immediately, but did not even offer to reimburse the overcharge. The back of the coffee shop has what looks like an open storage space with large shelves. It is only a few feet away from one of the tables, and there was an open trash bin on wheels just inches from that table. The sugar station consisted of 2 different kinds of artificial sweeteners and THAT'S IT. No sugar, no simple syrup, cinnamon, cocoa or anything else. There were some dusty looking pastries in a case on the counter (I think it was just for display, not the ones they serve) but they were not listed on the menu. Plus they use disposable cups for everything. It's so wasteful.

Indulging in the specialty coffee offerings at HARVEST is an experience that transcends the ordinary. From the first sip to the last, each cup is a testament to the artistry and dedication of the baristas. The heart of HARVEST's menu lies in its commitment to sourcing only the finest beans from around the globe. Whether it's a velvety smooth Ethiopian Yirgacheffe or a bold and complex Kenyan AA, every coffee on offer showcases the unique flavors and characteristics of its origin. One standout option is the Honduras Marcala, a medium-bodied roast with notes of caramelized sugar and hints of dark chocolate. Served as a pour-over or espresso-based drink, it's the perfect choice for those seeking a harmonious balance of sweetness and depth
