I love the vibe of local restaurants. You know, the ones where you can tell the owner works so very hard to make it something special. Tommy the owner of Argentos in Buckeye has accomplished that and welcomed us with open arms and told us a bit about the background of this pizza gem! Opened in 2007 he took over from a family member in 2014 and added his own touches. Located in Downtown Buckeye you definitely get that old school vibe. The parking lot is small, but still easy to find a spot when we came today. When we walked in we were greeted right away and given a moment to look over the menu. They offer delivery and pickup, but we chose to dine in. While the location is not large it does offer a good amount of seating. There are multiple TV’s to watch sports etc as well. Once we decided we ordered at the counter. Since we didn’t have the kids with us and could order more of what options we love and chose the Argentos Special which includes pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, bell pepper, red onions and extra cheese plus 10 wings . While we waited we got a chance to chat a bit more with the owner. I could just feel how much he loves and cares about what he does. We learned their wings are made to order not pre fried and we were looking forward to trying them. The wings soon arrived at the table and we dug in. They were a bit smaller than some spots we’ve tried, but they were sauced well, juicy not dry and just the right amount of crisp to them. I’d order them again. Our pizza soon followed and man it looked amazing. The smell of it had me excited to dig in. I liked that the slice didn’t sag when I picked it up. Even with all the toppings it held up pretty good. The crust was crisp and cheese gooey. The veggies were fresh and not over cooked. My fave thing when cooked right is the tiny bit of crunch to the bell pepper which this pizza had. Sauce had great flavor and seasoned well. Everything was so good. If you’re looking for something other than pizza they offer sandwiches (hot and cold), salads, pasta (the baked ziti we saw looked amazing) and I heard quite a bit of rave from locals about the White Pizza. I am already looking forward to trying the A La Vodka pasta dish and some garlic knots. You better believe I’m going to throw in a cannoli too. Today we couldn’t take anything home as we had to get to a football game or I would’ve ordered a takeaway dessert of some kind. Great family spot. If we lived closer I could definitely see spending a-lot of time here enjoying a meal. They offer great specials during the week which include pizza by the slice and great daily specials as well. Definitely a perfect stop today. Service, food, and vibe was wonderful. Happy employees tell you a lot about a place. Can’t wait to come back and let the kids enjoy it with us.

I can tell you now as a Over the Road Trucker, it's challenging to find places where you can just pull up a 70 foot big rig and hop out & eat somewhere besides major truck stops. And as a former Chef & Caterer of onsite events, I am a foodie and like great food at a great value. So I am happy to say if your crusing down I-10 freeway from SoCal to Phoenix or coming from Texas/ New Mexico into Phoenix- yoy just gotta stay on the I-10 a few minutes and exit into Buckeye Az. About 10 minutes off the freeway in the nice town of Buckeye AZ just a few miles from Phoenix. Parking is accessible even for a 70 foot tractor trailer and more so for cars. Very mild area traffic and easy to spot Argentos 805 Monroe Ave right on the corner of a major street. This is a very casual place, friendly staff, good food, and affordable pricing. Plus I go there to see my lifelong friend from Maryvale High School George. He's a regular there. I believe he has the world's record for the most visits to Argentos than anyone. I visit him when I'm in town there since he's there literally everyday to eat. That's us in the picture. I had the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich- took me 2 sessions to eat all of it. I had the Chicken Penne Pasta in Alfredo Sauce & took 2 sessions to eat also and of course, I had the Pizza. It is affordable and just so because George eats there every single day. So if you're traveling like me, put this on your go-to places. I'm going again next month to have lunch, visit George and be on my way afterwards. Great by yourself or with a group. I leisurely eat and hang out for hours, chopping it up with George- no problem! It may be hot outside in Buckeye, but cool & refreshing inside. Just posting this post is making me hungry. I'm gonna try the Spaghetti & meatballs next. George says it's a deal. He says to add extra parmesano on top because they give you all you want with condiments Lol!. OK so, Happy trails...if you stop in, enjoy yourself, maybe I'll see you but you'll see George will for sure. Tell him hello from me, Anthony.

I had the pleasure of meeting Tommy, the owner of Argento’s Pizza and Wings, at a business professional gathering, and he mentioned his restaurant in Buckeye, AZ. I promised I’d stop by to check it out, and today I finally had the chance—and I’m so glad I did! From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was incredible. The staff at Argento’s is genuinely friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. It was clear they truly care about their customers and the experience they provide. The restaurant was clean and well kept. We started with the sampler platter, which was a perfect appetizer to kick things off - a little bit of everything. The chicken wings were next - they were delicious, and the meatball parmesean pasta was absolutely fantastic—made with locally sourced fresh ground beef, you could really taste the quality. Also homemade sauce. But the real star of the show was the Argento Special pizza. It was hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time—everything was fresh, made in-house, and cooked to perfection. Overall, the food was phenomenal, and the service was unparalleled. I highly recommend making a visit to Argento’s Pizza and Wings. Whether you’re in the area or just passing through, it’s well worth the trip. I’ll definitely be back!

Edit2 Thank you so much Tommy for reaching out. I appreciate you speaking with my husband and discussing the situation that occurred. We live 2 minutes away and love Argentos! We will definitely continue to come back. Food is honestly amazing! And the prices are great for the quality of food you get!

Edit my husband did go back, and spoke to the manager over the phone. He was very respectful and offered us a free pizza on Wednesday and my husband was given some pepperoni in a cup to add to our pizzas. I do appreciate the assistance from the manager. Hopefully this doesn’t happen to anyone else and please make sure the person taking your order hear you clearly, no matter how many times you have to repeat it. Next time we’ll be going in instead of ordering over the phone. Ive never had a bad experience until today. I spoke to a Miley, over the phone to place my order. 2 large pizzas and a salad. My order was specifically 1 large full pepperoni pizza with half black olives half jalapeños and another pizza with half bacon and half mushrooms and sausage. We paid $50 for this order. When my husband picked up the order and got home we realized the order was incorrect. The pepperoni pizza had no pepperoni at all, only half black olives, half jalapenos. Our bacon pizza was half bacon and half mushrooms, no sausage at all. I called back letting them know of the incorrect order and that my husband would be driving back. Whoever answered put me on hold and placed Miley back on the phone and I informed her of the incorrect order. Miley stated there is nothing she can do since she repeated the order back to me at the end of the call. I informed her that I repeated my order to her multiple times because she kept repeating it incorrectly and there was yelling in the background. Per Miley, she again repeated there is nothing she can do since she repeated the order back to me at the end of our call, which again, I informed her I had to repeat to her my order multiple times. She refused to provide any assistance to correct this mistake. I have never been so disappointed with this establishment especially since we love going here for our pizza nights. I would love a call from the manager to sort this out since there is absolutely no reason this could not have been sorted...
