Fresh Bagels & Cafe — Restaurant in Buena Park

My favorite is the lox city and I usually get it through doordash everytime because the last three times I've gone in to order, the older asian lady that takes the orders has been so rude! Makes me sad because I love the food but I can't keep paying for that lady to yell, and scuff in my face. The first two times she kept hurrying us to order and would sigh really rudely and impatiently if we weren't ready, plus she yelled "are you ready yet???" Like the times. The last time I went in with my teenage daughter and I didn't understand what the lady asked me so I guess I answered wrong and she stared right at me, frowning and rolled her eyes so hard that I thought they were going to fall out of her face! She then sighed and rudely asked her question again slowly like I'm stupid. I answered but then regretted not walking out and canceling my order because my daughter witnessed all this and told me that I should have defended myself. As a guest service trainer I believe that lady is in the wrong business, she shouldn't be in customer service. If she's the owner then it makes sense because she seems entitled to treat people badly. The rest of the staff is quiet but a little nicer although no one really looks happy or smiles. I'll be taking my business to oc bagels where the service is wonderful and the bagels...

Wow, this is unfortunate to write… but bad customer service is a perfect reason to let other people know where to avoid. They refused to refund and remake a sandwich that they made wrong (and was inedible), after I already went all the way back to work. I ordered a Turkey Bacon sandwich on a bagel… as I’m leaving, they come out and say “oh, we forgot the bacon” so they take it back to add the bacon. When I get back to work, I realize that they made the complete WRONG sandwich. It has bean sprouts and pepperchinis… literally NOT the sandwich that was ordered (I’ve had it before). I can’t even pick it off because it’s all stuck to the cream cheese! So I call them to let them know that I can’t even eat this sandwich, and they tell me “sorry, but we will only refund it if you come back here”. So I say okay, I’ll come back and you can remake the sandwich and refund me. And he’s like… we’re not going to make you a new sandwich. What? This is not the first time this place has refused to fix THEIR mistakes. That’s the worst possible customer service. Now I have to dispute the charge on my card and I won’t ever be returning — and none of you...

Fresh Bagels & Cafe is a popular local spot for bagels, breakfast, and lunch. Even on busy days, the food and service don't disappoint. The kind and hardworking staff can get you in and out quickly. I've been enjoying the food here for a few years.

I appreciate the variety of freshly baked bagels, along with a selection of cream cheese flavors. A few favorite items include toasted bagels with lox cream cheese, breakfast/omelet bagel sandwiches, and the Lox City bagel. The hot coffee options are average and does the job with your standard creams, milk, sugars, and spices.

The traditional and specialty sandwiches served on a Dutch Crunch roll are also delicious. Additional food items include muffins, fresh rolls, croissants, and flavored cream cheeses to take home. The drinks available feature a variety of coffees, juices, smoothies, boba, teas, and more.
