So i grew up loving a&w for its great rootbeer good food and family atmosphere of its foodchain! Sadly i hadnt lived close to one in years! So when one opened in Buffalo Minnesota i was excited to introduce my kids to this fond memory! That is till tonight! I ordered the daily special and the person taking the order wanted to argue about adding cheese to my burgers witch i was willing to pay for! So i finally said forget it and ordered the rest of my food! Last thing i requested was ketchup in my bag! Food came and no ketchup! So i went into the store and ask for the manager! I asked if her sign said you can add toppings to the special or not! She proceeded to tell me i was wrong and the sign was old and it slowed her line down to much to add cheese that i was willing to pay for to the daily special! So i sat in the parkinglot for 30 min eating the food they were willing to give me after she was kind enough to give me the ketchup they forgot! Literally 7 people pulled through in that time! But her line she said was to busy to add cheese that the sign clearly said they could add! If this is how the restaurant is now going to be represented i dont know ill return! Thanks for ruining a fond family memory over 5 peices of cheese and by the way you lost money cause you also didnt make the sale! Also whats up with the generic response given to every complaint! Act like your customers matter and at least respond in person! Just an observation! So i looked up the review score for the New London Paynesville and Pine City/ Hinkley a&w,s witch ive eaten at for years! Strange they are all over a 4 star rating! However Buffalo is only 3.8 stars and has only been in business a few years! Um owner i think you got a problem! If they have been in buisness longer then you and have a far higher rating then you need to consider your management might be a problem! Might be time to rebuild your staf from the...
Read moreFirst visit tonight, sad to say we won’t be returning. 5:15 on a Saturday, only 2 table with customers. Placed our order and went to get a table. You would have thought we had our choice, but every table needed to be cleaned. And when I looked at the floor it need to be swept up too. While waiting for our food one male employee did come out and turn the TV to the football game and watch for several minutes. Paying no attention to the condition of the dining room. So our food finally came and my fries were barely warm at best. My husband brought them to the counter and asked for a replacement, on his walk back to the table all the employees in the kitchen came and peeked out at us. Then as my husband was eating his dinner and I was waiting for my fries( the only thing I ordered) I watched them bag up 11 orders of fries in orders for the drive-thru. Hubby was almost done so I decided no more waiting and asked for a refund. Manager came out and when I told her what happened she begrudgingly gave me the refund. While I was talking to the manager, fries were brought to the table. I don’t know why, I said I didn’t want them as my husband was almost finished eating. When I returned to the table the manager talked to the cashier and they both gave us weird looks, the kitchen employees as a group came out and gave us an odd look. My husband said his burger wasn’t that good, even by fast food standards. Food was bad, and the customer service from the bottom to the top was awful. Why would someone bother to open a restaurant and then not properly...
Read moreTook our motorcycle out, with an A&W root beer float as our destination. Drive through and take-out available so I had to opt for take-out. Three other patrons, who came in their cars, were inside for takeout when I arrived. I have no idea why they wouldn't use the drive through, but whatever. None of them wore masks but was I glad to see the staff was. There was no organized manner for waiting for your food and it was difficult to stay away from the germ spreaders. Orderd two floats and an order of rings and I was handed a number on a wire holder (more germs)with my order number. They made our floats first and called my numer, to which I went up to retrieve and handed them my number. Told me the rings weren't done and to take my number and the floats. I had to try and carry them, and my number, past the others with no masks. I found my own drink carrier and straws, asked for napkins, and told the young man behind the counter that my floats dripped all over the counter where I was standing, so he might want to wipe it up. He just shrugged. That explained why the serving station with the straws and napkins was so filthy. I thanked him for wearing a mask and went on my way with my rings and very melted root beer floats. Likeky...
