Rancho Grande - Buffalo — Restaurant in Buffalo

I truly do not understand how the economy of Buffalo works. The city has just over 15,000 people, and as near as I can count, a restaurant for every 3 or 4 of them. I’m pretty sure people in Buffalo do not cook, unless they work in the kitchen of, e.g., Rancho Grande, El Molcajete, Bugambilias Cocina Latina ... just to name the MEXICAN restaurants I have been to in Buffalo. And if I too were surrounded with good Mexican restaurants, I might never eat at home either.

The Burrito California with chorizo is really good. I exercised maximum restraint and put just a sprinkling of hot sauce on it, thereby getting the most out of the chorizo flavor. Delicious!

We arrived at your restaurant on Monday, after my granddaughters choir concert.1) upon entering, your hostess wouldn't even acknowledge us . With a smile or a hello. Just said 3 we said yes, she took us to a booth and left. 2) we ordered,I ordered a taco salad with steak. When i got it there was not even a handfull of lettuce, about a tsp of guacamole. 1 slice of Roma tomato. And about a fourth of a cup of mystery meat. That's it. Every time I took a bite a gagged. The meat tasted like tuna out of the can. It definitely was not meat. I left over half of it. Ate the lettuce. Never have I eaten something so awful. And it cost me 14.99. I told the waiter ot was awful. He said sorry and left. No discount, can I get you something else instead. Paid full price for dog food....

This loving restaurant has left high standers. They will greet you with a warm welcome and lead you to the table that best fits you. They artery you off with tortilla chips and homemade salsa, not too spicy but not too mild. You can taste the freshly diced onions. The California burrito was made with lightly patted flour tortilla with grilled chicken and a hint of lime. Authentic rice and beans were included in the burrito the smell of the cheese melted all over the burrito was unexpected. It was served with crunchy freshly sliced lettuce and freshly cold sour cream. The staff were always so friendly doing everything in our best interest. They were always checking in to make sure everything was perfect for us. I will indeed be coming back to...
