Panera Bread, which many people know and love, has an interesting history. It started back in 1987 as the St. Louis Bread Company. The company was purchased by Au Bon Pain Co. in 1993 and was rebranded as Panera Bread in 1997. With its headquarters in Sunset Hills, Missouri, Panera Bread has grown into a beloved chain throughout the United States and Canada. One of the reasons for its popularity is the emphasis on fresh, clean ingredients—no artificial preservatives, sweeteners, flavors, or colors from artificial sources. Their menu is quite diverse, offering everything from fresh-baked goods, like bagels and pastries, to café items, such as sandwiches, salads, soups, and specialty beverages. They also cater to various dietary needs with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
I appreciate Panera's cozy, community-oriented atmosphere, which makes it a perfect spot for meetings or casual gatherings. They’ve embraced technology with their Panera 2.0 initiative, which introduced online ordering, rapid pick-up, and delivery services. This has made it incredibly convenient to enjoy their offerings. They even have a line of packaged products available in grocery stores under the "Panera at Home" brand. Panera Bread is also committed to social responsibility through programs like Day-End Dough-Nation, where they donate leftover bakery items to local charities. They’ve focused on sustainability by using responsibly sourced ingredients and reducing their environmental footprint. Owned by JAB Holding Company since 2017, Panera continues to innovate and expand, keeping up with customer needs and...
Read moreAs I stand here this is by far the worst Panera Bread I've been to in the city. Dirty tables. Dirty Floors. Dirty Walls. SLOWWWWW SERVICE. Horrible. Management walks around relaxed like there aren't 6 people waiting on orders while the rest of the staff looks stressed. If you want quick service DO NOT come here. If you want to eat in a clean setting don't eat here. Even the prep area looked junky as hell. People who ordered online for pick up had to wait for their orders as well. When the customer asked why the Service was slow she responded because we are busy with an attitude the worst customer service I have ever experienced at any Panera bread in my life I will never come back to this location ever again, I will never send family or friends here, it's a horrible dingy, dirty, greasy spoon atmosphere the people in there don't take pride in what they do at all!!!!! I blame management!!! They don't care and had no sense of urgency. The poor girl was left to do all the orders by herself NO TEAMWORK. This place really ruined my lunch break. And to top it off my salad has rotten avocado in it!!!! The food is too expensive for piss poor performance. McDonalds does better than this location!!! STAY AWAY. YOU HAVE...
Read moreLife is better at Panera Bread... the fresh healthy food, the other guests & the workers make an atmosphere that feels like home. The app it self or even ordering in person using your phone number racks up the rewards which I admit are pretty generous. I also was sceptical about the $9.99 unlimited coffee because I don't drink hot coffee but love the ice coffee and that's included, YAY!
Oh you gotta try the pick 2 - BBQ Chicken Sandwich with the Citrus Salad with Chicken, OMG so so good. I do add the freezy onions (which is free of charge) it is simply the best. Of course, add the cinnamon roll (get the one with the most frosting lol which is my weakness for only $0.99 because I also have the unlimited coffee. Another GREAT choice is the Turkey & Bacon Bravo sandwich but the trick is having them toast the Turkey with the bacon & cheese, OMG so good that way TRUST me! ;)
Lastly, the area up front with the glass windows makes for perfect people watching. The only downfall I would say the glass area gets shut down early & customers have to eat in the back area. But make no mistake, I love ❤️ this place & 100%...
