After indulging in Chinese cuisine across Shanghai, Taiwan, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur, I consider myself to have a rather discerning palate when it comes to authentic flavors. It's with this background that I wholeheartedly recommend this gem in Elmwood Village for truly exceptional Chinese food. The Kung Pao Chicken here is a standout dish, generously laden with fresh vegetables and served alongside perfectly cooked white rice, capturing the essence of what makes Chinese cuisine so delightful. This establishment primarily caters to take-out, but if you're like me and prefer to savor your meal straight from the kitchen, they offer two tables for dining (but realize there's not atmosphere whatsoever).

It was fast and accurate. The vegetable Lo Mein was entirely noodles with a few shredded carrots on top, a dime-sized piece of broccoli and three tiny pieces of mini-corn. I was expecting there to be more vegetables, which is probably why it was a bit bland. This is why I’m rating low. The steamed dumplings were as expected.

Look at the fried rice. No flavor. Fast service but food is not good. My egg foo young gravy was a sweet sauce. Terrible! Egg foo young had zero flavor.

I tried this place while looking for a new spot bc the long time staple down the st closed. This place is nuts. I explained what Id like to order - 2 pints and a lo mein. Pints are $8 and change each. She told me i cant just pay a couple bucks more for lo mein instead of rice unless I ordered a combo and its cheaper. I said fine, 2 pints 1 lo mein or if the combo is cheaper thats fine. Upon arrival she tried charging $7 x 2 for the 'combo'. I guess just pay attention, $14 for lo mein is nuts. Then they charge 5% more per item ordered when paying with card. I have no issues paying extra for lo mein (plain) instead of rice but good grief. The weird part is the $7 lo mein MIGHT have been half a normal order. Also fwiw, not that you expect Chinese places to be clean - but this place was GROSS. Might be fine at the end of a drunken night on Elmwood when people aren't paying attention, but this was insane. Her response when questioned was 'no one likes you'... well, ya keep trying to pull stuff like that and soon no one will like you...
