So on Sunday, I decided to take my daughter and my grandbaby to the cheesecake factory in Buford for the first time, we seated on the patio And a server named JJ walked up to the table didn’t say anything to us and then walked away. I could see him going back-and-forth with another server, asking the other server to take our table because he didn’t want to , so it started off kind of negative.. He comes back we order a Coke, a sweet tea and a water for the baby, we order an appetizer. He doesn’t say anything and just walks away, our appetizer gets to the table before our drinks do and it’s the incorrect order, when JJ brings our drinks out we proceed to tell him that it wasn’t what we ordered and he asked me if I want him to take it off the table or take it off the check because in order to take it off the check he has to get his manager.. I asked him could he please get his manager because we didn’t order that, he sighed and rolls his eyes and takes the plate off the table. The manager comes out and apologizes and says he doesn’t know what happened that it shouldn’t have happened and he would take it off the check.. JJ comes back to the table we place an order for chicken fettuccine Alfredo, sliders and a Caesar salad. He was still just very dismissive like he didn’t want to take our order like he didn’t want to be at work. We waited for our drinks and he brings them to the table another server brings our food to the table, and I noticed that my sliders do not have anything on them like they described. It was literally burger and ketchup.. So I call him over and I ask him if it’s supposed to have grilled onions and he says yes and I show him that it has none as I lift the bun.. I ask him if he can just get some from the kitchen and I’ll put it on myself.. He walks away and he comes back and he says they told him the onions were smashed in the burger. Am I sure there aren’t any? I lift up the buns and I tell him there are no onions, and this man leans over with his mouth and nose 1 inch from the top of my food (plate) And says are you sure? take a bite!! Now I’m super uncomfortable. I take a bite and I tell him I told you there’s nothing on here… he walks away and I ask a busser to get a manager because I was so irritated and uncomfortable at this point, manager comes out profusely apologizes says he’s gonna make it right and put a smile on our faces. He’s so sorry and as he’s standing at our table, the same server Keeps walking back-and-forth staring me down as I ask him to stay away from the table. By this time, I’m in tears because I’m completely offended . He walks BACK to our table stands next to the manager and ask me what my problem is.? The manager then yells at him and tells him to go inside.. Apologies again and states that it’s a rule that a server is not to come to the table while a manager is there with the customer!! Manager leaves and a different server comes over to our table to ask if we need anything. We tell him boxes and the check please and when we get the check, not only was the incorrect appetizer not taken off the check like promised there was literally nothing done. Absolutely NOTHING done about the service, atmosphere , or how we were treated!! I gave them my bank card paid the check and we left and I was at a loss for words for an establishment like the cheesecake factory to do nothing and for us to be treated that...
Read moreI’ve been to this location multiple times but I have to say last night was by far THE WORST experience I have ever had. What makes it so bad was it was my daughter and little sister’s birthday. I just wanted to do something quick and last minute for the actual day since the actual celebration wouldn’t be until next week… should have left well enough alone. I don’t even leave negative reviews often (especially as someone who once was a server) but this location deserves one for the following reasons Upon seating all the silverware was disgusting noticeable food bits and white flakes all over. Our waitress did suggest we use plastic instead but why were we even seated at a table that was in fact set with dirty silverware… unacceptable. Yes, it was night time which is why we gave the entire order at once because I get it everyone wants to go home even the choices were pretty basic. We were first not given bread and told that the kitchen staff didn’t feel like making any because they had turned the oven off. Umm ok so I then said well what are they going to do about that? She comes back and says the manger is making it great still was only the one kind versus the two how it usually is but I wasn’t picky about it no issues. Ordered an alcoholic beverage and I asked if the bar was open because my drink in fact had not been the slightest hint of alcohol taste and I’m a true lightweight. One cocktail at dinner and I’m good to go so I was disappointed in a $16 drink that taste like juice and I didn’t see anyone at the bar so I asked was the drink a cocktail or a mocktail because I understand if they already did the liquor count just tell me and I’ll get something else. As we ate none of the dirty dishes were removed we had no space to eat at all plates stacked and everything the server would come back but not take stuff out the way umm ok… so we’re suppose to eat with trash on the table ? All in all server was still tipped 15% out of the fact that I get it some stuff was the restaurants fault so I’d never take that out on the server she was sweet but what people need understand customer service is important now if people treat you bad or try to belittle you by all means I’d never go out my way but each person that comes in the door no matter what time they still deserve complete service from start to finish. Also honorable mention I ordered steak and shrimp and I asked for medium rare and was brought well done tough steak. That’s why I asked that they just take that steak and I don’t need a complete remake but I can’t eat tough steak they bring me more steak this time RARE not even medium rare I didn’t send it back just said oh well i’ll microwave it at home and call it a night … but also they didn’t even cook the steak in the sauce it came with just recooked the steak so it was bland. When I go out to eat and spend money I expect good quality I’m not the type to try to run people ragged we didn’t ask for a matter we didn’t ask for a discount paid in full for things we didn’t enjoy just a lesson learned. Even our cheesecake choices were limited because again the kitchen was ready to start cleaning trust me I get it but not the experience I was hoping for on...
Read moreIf you're looking for a consistently enjoyable dining experience with a wide variety of options and world-class desserts, The Cheesecake Factory in Buford, Georgia, is a solid choice. Located at the Mall of Georgia, this location is always bustling, and for good reason. It combines a unique atmosphere with an impressively large menu that caters to just about every craving you can imagine.
One of the first things that stands out about this restaurant is the sheer size of the menu. Whether you're in the mood for classic American comfort food, Asian-inspired dishes, pasta, seafood, or even vegetarian and vegan-friendly meals, you'll find something that suits your palate. This is one of those rare places where everyone in your group — from picky eaters to adventurous foodies — will walk away satisfied. I've been several times, and each time I try something new, I'm pleasantly surprised by the flavor, presentation, and portion size. The servings are generous, often enough to split or take home for later.
Their appetizers are also worth mentioning — from the avocado egg rolls to the crispy calamari, there are some truly standout starters that are perfect for sharing. For main courses, you can't go wrong with the Chicken Madeira, the Factory Burrito Grande, or the Bang-Bang Chicken and Shrimp. Each dish is well-seasoned, cooked to perfection, and plated with care. It’s also worth noting that their SkinnyLicious menu offers lighter options that don’t skimp on flavor, which is great for anyone trying to eat a bit healthier.
Now, let’s talk about what The Cheesecake Factory is arguably most famous for — the desserts. Specifically, their legendary cheesecakes. With dozens of flavors to choose from, it's nearly impossible to settle on just one. From the classic Original to the decadent Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake or the fan-favorite Fresh Strawberry, each slice is rich, creamy, and indulgent in the best way. If you have room after your meal, definitely treat yourself. And if not, get it to go — they travel surprisingly well.
Service is generally attentive and friendly, though the restaurant's high volume can sometimes lead to slightly longer wait times for food and check processing. Still, the staff always appears to be working hard to keep guests happy and comfortable, which I appreciate.
A very important tip: make a reservation ahead of time. This location is extremely popular, especially during weekends, holidays, and around dinner hours. The walk-in wait time can easily stretch to 45 minutes or more, especially if you have a larger party. Using their online reservation system is quick and easy, and will save you a lot of frustration.
The ambiance is casual yet stylish, with warm lighting and a lively atmosphere. It’s a great place for both family dinners and date nights. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just want a dependable meal out, The Cheesecake Factory delivers.
