I am disgusted and appalled by the security at this mall. I spent the day shopping here while visiting my family in Georgia from Australia together with my cousins from Denmark. After we had a wonderful day spent in the mall, we went to the car with a stroller full of my purse and shopping I did for the day. While packing my child into the car and putting in her car seat, I accidentally left my stroller and shopping bags outside of the car by the time we pulled out of the parking lot, I realized what I had done and we went back to find someone had removed the food containers and taken the stroller my purse and all my Shopping. We tried to find security but ended up having to call police. Finally as I was walking through the mall looking to see if someone took my stroller back and my purse which I need because I fly back to Australia in 2 days, I see two mall cops and discuss with them the issues. The mall cop Cory Tate could not answer my questions truthfully. First he said he checked the tapes and he couldn’t find any footage of my stroller being stolen, then when I pressed him on how he would even know where I was parked he said there was no footage at all and that there was a bad storm a few days ago which struck lightning into the mall and their cameras all died. - I’ve been here the last 5 weeks there hasn’t been a storm or a day of rain since I arrived. On top of that when I asked him how does he know where I was parked and which cameras to check he said he knows how to do his job. Well if his job is lying he is great at it. My sister then approached him telling him he was being rude to me - and he said that I was being rude to him only because I caught him in a lie and pressed the issue which he clearly didn’t want to deal with it or car even though I told him I need my baby’s medicine that was in my purse because I can’t get a script before we fly back to Australia in 3 days. He couldn’t care less. He started arguing with my sister and then told us to get out of the malll, while I was purchasing a toy for my child…. Disgusting behavior from someone who swears to uphold the law. I am a lawyer and I would never breach my duties to uphold the law such as this so called cop an absolute farce of a “security team” I will never return to this mall ever again and I am disgusting at the services Simon’s Group offers to its loyal customers … treating the VICTIM of a crime - as a perpetrator and KICKING them out instead of doing their job and checking some tapes .. absolute disgust and appalling...
Read moreThe Mall of Georgia, once heralded as a premier shopping destination, has experienced a noticeable decline over the years. Having witnessed its evolution since it first opened, it’s disheartening to see the current state of disrepair and the pervasive sense of decline that has set in.
From its inception, the mall never achieved full occupancy, a trend that has only worsened over time. I’ve seen numerous businesses come and go, leaving behind a trail of empty storefronts and a lingering atmosphere of abandonment. The turnover rate of stores has been alarmingly high, making it difficult for the mall to maintain a consistent and vibrant shopping environment.
One of the most striking signs of the mall’s decline is the visible disrepair. The decaying furniture in areas once bustling with activity, such as the seating areas of closed down restaurants, is a stark reminder of better days. Boarded up store fronts are now a common sight, contributing to an overall sense of neglect and desolation.
Despite its size and the initial promise of being a shopping hub, the Mall of Georgia struggles with maintaining its allure. The lack of tenants and the evident neglect have significantly impacted the shopping experience. What was once a lively and inviting space has become a shadow of its former self.
It’s a sad reality to see such a prominent mall in this condition. For long-time patrons like myself, the decline of the Mall of Georgia is a poignant reminder of the challenges faced by brick-and-mortar retail in an ever-changing economic landscape. One can only hope that steps will be taken to revive this once-thriving establishment and restore some of its...

This isn't about the mall, but about one of the stands on the first level. It's called Charmz 4 All with a man that uses creepy, predatory marketing techniques. HE PUT HIS HANDS ON MY LITTLE SISTER AND SAID "I have a lot of charms" WHILE SMIRKING. I was shopping with my 12 year old little sister when we passed by the stand and in the corner of my eye I catch the man staring at me as I walk past. He gave me a creepy vibe so I quickened my pace hoping to avoid him trying to get me to buy something. Since I fastened my pace, my little sister was now slightly behind me and as soon as I look behind me to check for my little sister, I see the creepy man standing in front of her, blocking her way, his hand is on her shoulder and he bent himself down so his face is level with my little sisters and says something to her. She later told me he said "I have a lot of charms". He knew exactly what he was suggesting when he said that and probably thought it was funny, but it's so disgusting. I immediately took my little sister away from him and his disgusting face was still smirking as he watched us. Please please be careful when you walk past this stand and keep your children extra close. I'm still so disgusted by what happened. A grown man should never be putting his hands on a little girl he just met and saying that kind of stuff. There is...
