This place is a great little hidden gem tucked quietly behind the hustle and bustle of MOGA. The main entrance is between Nature Pkwy & Village Way Ln off of Mall of Georgia Blvd. There is a small gravel parking lot between some Power Co. boxes and the Consignment store over on MOGA Blvd. However, I prefer the trail in behind the Mattress Firm. I also noticed a path in to the right of Kid to Kid Buford and Lifeway Christian Bookstore. That path was nice because businesses with restrooms were close by. That came in handy when I was walking around. I popped out over there to hit a restroom. The trails are great. The coolest thing, I think, is the fact that the Mill Creek Nature Center is connected to the Ivy Creek Greenway and Gwinnett Environmental Heritage Center. All three of those are linked together and if I read it correctly GEHC will eventually connect to George Pierce Park which connects to Suwanee Creek Park. That is exciting! After awhile the trails will link up nicely. I would highly recommend getting lost back here. It's wonderful to hear the roar of 85 and see nothing but nature. It makes you feel like you are getting away with something....like an oasis in the middle of suburbia...a great little side stop to reconnect...

If you plan to go this way, walk down the stairs that run along side the heritage center, turn left at the old house and barn, cross the road to get onto the ivy creek greenway, after you pass the bathrooms and dog walk area make a left and cross over the board walks. Along the way you will pass an “waterfall”, under the highways, eventually the trail will run into gravel straight or paved to the left. Proceed straight and the nature center is about a 1/4 of a mile into the woods. Exploring the board walks was fun and reminded me of running through the board walks as a kid in FL. I’ll be...
Read moreThe most beautiful place to walk and hike. It's a little tricky from the directions to get there. When you arrive into the parking lot next to the bird store go to the left on the dirt and gravel drive. Walk along the road that is pretty busy to the fire hydrant and there are stairs that go down. Don't climb that giant hill to go down to the paths. They are perfectly good stairs. What a great beautiful place to go. Highly recommended! Great for kids not really a great place for strollers because of many steps...
