My fiancée and I were visiting from Vancouver, BC and I am a seafood fanatic, so I was stoked to see a crab boil restaurant near our hotel. I was surprised to find out that the Alaskan king crab was fairly reasonably priced at between $74-95 per lb I believe? Because the crab serving can be a bit over 1 lb it can cost a little more than the price quoted but I believe my serving was around 8 $80 something dollars and then I added a half lb of shrimp and potatoes, corn, and sausage. I did the mild mix of the whole sha bang and it was fantastic! The seasoning complemented the seafood very nicely and was something different than just butter which was nice. The sausage was great and the red potatoes were good as well the only disappointment was I didn’t understand that the corn order is only about a third of a cob so I definitely would’ve order at least 2 more as it was amazing with the seasoning! The shrimp was also really good for peel and eats and yes, I was covered in sauce and swears by the end of our meal. My fiancée had the onion rings and fried prawns and they were also nice fried items, though the breading was also Cajun tasting which we enjoyed but was a bit surprising as we were expecting a regular breading on the rings. We each had a drink and the bill was under $200 with tip, which I thought was pretty good. The Alaskan king crab was not outstanding, but it was a good option as they were out of Dungeness and snow crab which I usually prefer ordering when on the west coast. The service was outstanding, especially with the restaurant being packed around 8pm with football playing. I wish I could remember the hostess’ and servers name as they were both amazing and very accommodating. The manager also stopped by once just to check in on us and make sure we were taking care of. I was super impressed with the staff and ambience, I would just say I have had a lot of amazing seafood and this was just good in my opinion?

I had no extravagant plans for New Year's or dining out. All I knew for sure was that I wanted something different, something that would delight me, something that would fill my soul, and satisfy my every taste bud. And surprisingly enough for friend showed up you told me it was a restaurant downtown Burbank call The Boiling Crab and that I would love it. When we arrive the first thing I noticed is that the people were lined up outside waiting for their tables. Aromas of all sorts of Seafoods filled the air at my mouth suddenly began to water. And although the line was long the wait was not. We were inside, seated, and placed our order before a cross eyed midget a jump from a hole in the floor and yell come and get it. I had the fried shrimp and my friend had it boiled. We dived in using both hands-- for silverware is not allowed--I am still searching for the words to describe this wonderful dining experience.

My party consisted of a birthday boy and his buddies who all wanted seafood. I don't eat shellfish, so take my review in context. First, the bad. There are no seafood options for people who eat Kosher, so I had to order chicken strips. They were horrid. Dry AF and all breading. The sweet potato fries were a mixture of underdone and overdone and looked like they were cooked in a very dirty fryer. Totally disappointing. Now the good. The spicy potato fries were excellent. All of our party who had the seafood loved it. Our waitress was on top of her game, friendly, attentive, and awesome. The manager even refunded me for the SPF. Well done. So, the moral of the story? If you want a great big bag of biblically unclean food, you'll love it here. 😃

I had loved this place. Everytime I came I would bring my friends and new people. This time I had come with my friends and had a get together like we always do. When we placed our orders everything was good. I had ordered a pound of crawfish and two crab clusters. When my crawfish came I didn't think much if it because I usually get crawfish from here. I ate 3 or 4 pieces and then my crab legs came so I put them aside and ate my crab legs. While eating the crab one of my friends crab was overdone and it was bad. We had called our server and she called her manager over. The manager told us she would fix it for us and she did. After we finished the crab legs I went back to eat my crawfish. I ate a couple from the bag and then I ate one that tasted off. At first I thought it would be from the spice but I remembered it wasn't spicy. I stopped eating the crawfish and had told our server that the crawfish was bad so she called her manager, she came over again and gave me an eye roll. She thought I was one of those kids that come and eat then say I don't like it to get it taken off the check. I told the manager that it didn't taste right and she looked at me and then looked at the bag and started saying you should have told me earlier because you ate "half the bag" when in reality I ate 10 to 15 crawfish not fully. She started to argue with me but she said she would take it off. I wasn't really feeling well so I went to the restroom and felt the urge to throw up. I ended up full on throwing up and when my friend went to tell my other friend the manager was near by and so was our server and they didn't do anything. When I had come out the bathroom I went and sat down and my friends asked if I was okay and when I told them what happened our server kept on looking at me and didnt even bother to apologize or ask if I was okay. I had to take 4 mints and chew gum to get the taste out of my mouth. And it's really not about the money because we spend more than $300 everytime we go. As I am writing this I still have the urge to throw up. I still love the place and love the food. This is about the attitude that was shown to me while I had spoiled food. Managers are supposed to apologize and care for their...

So, we went here yesterday since I have visited the other locations before and I love the food. So we arrived @ 7.15 at the location which was packed, we approached the host station and were informed the wait was 1 hr to 1.45 inside, and outside 20 min. I immediately asked if they had heathers outside in the patio, now you gotta understand it was freezing cold and windy so it felt like hell outdoors, the hostess said no heathers so we asked to be seated inside instead. Now I have worked in restaurants before I know you over estimate the wait time just in case it takes longer your in the safe zone with the customers that are obviously waiting and hungry. I figured ok we are only two people it should be ok I don’t think we will end up waiting the whole two hours right? Well oh surprise surprise! We ended up waiting almost three hours! By the time we sat down it was 9.40!! We were so upset because the hostesses kept on sitting down people in front of us that we’ve seen arrived after we did! No just that, they kept on playing and making jokes, we asked a couple of times how much longer and for some reason I think that’s why they kept on putting us down the list on purpose. The food was good and the waitress that served us was polite but definitely not three hours wait worth! For two people two! Crazy.. maybe management should think on investing in some heathers for the outside patios since the place is obviously over packed. Overall it was not a nice experience and I doubt I will come back, I will not recommend this place to friends and family we paid 120 dlls to wait 3 hrs and to get attitude from...
