My 1st experience with this chain was with their new location out in Porter Ranch and that was a pleasant experience overall experience. I have to say it's one of my top Ramen spots now. I was happy to see the Burbank location finally open up unfortunately the service was absolutely terrible.... It took the server (young looking teen) with a lousy attitude over 8 mins to come to our table to take our order and mind you the place was a bit over 1/2 full...
While taking our order my fiance ordered a beer which is when we found out they do not serve alcohol here. The server instead said he would just bring us water never mind that I planned on ordered an ice tea... From here we waited 35 minutes and our food (x2 Tonkatsu Ramen) were still not out... My hangry fiance just had enough @ this point and said she wanted to leave and I agreed. At no point did anyone bother comingvup to us or any of the other guest to let us know that "maybe" they were super backed up and would take significantly longer than usual. Any type of communication would have gone a long way but instead they did nothing. My fiance and I got up and left. We say the couple sitting next to us do the same thing....
Management, you're doing a terrible job. Step it up and talk to your servers about at least smiling and not rushing your...
Read moreWe were treated to lunch at work and since this restaurant is a chain, I'm not really sure which location our take out was ordered from, but I'm making my best guess that it was this one.
Anyway, I basically ordered everything vegetarian that they had to offer: Impossible Bun, spicy edamame, creamy broccolini, and veggie ramen.
I was quite happy with all of it. At first I didn't like the broccolini because it just tasted burnt, but when I realized you're supposed to douse it with the cream that was packed separately, I actually liked it.
I think my favorite, though, was the Impossible Bun because it had a soft bun, but the Impossible protein had a crispy coating, so it was a nice mix of soft and crispy. It was small, though, and more of a side.
For the ramen, they packed the soup separate from the noodles and everything else, and there was one nori seaweed packed in its own sleeve. There were so many ingredients that it made for a hearty soup.
It was my first time having spicy edamame as opposed to the regular kind and I think I'll have it spicy from now on since it was tastier and more interesting.
It seems that this chain really is just in the L.A. area as of right now, but now that I know how good the food is, I'm more likely to keep an eye out and step into an actual...
Read moreMy wife and I took my sister here for dinner here tonight after picking her up at Burbank airport. I parked at a private lot down the street and walked to this restrauant. They have a little stair to take you to the second level where it's for dining and there also a small elevator for people who are handicapped. We got seated pretty quick since they were not busy at all for a Monday night. My wife and I already knew what we wanted since we been to the other restrauant location before but our first time at this Burbank location. My sister never been to a Silverlake Ramen so we give her some recommendations. We started off with their spicy garlic edamame and then I got the Shoyu on Fire with chicken. My wife and my sister got the Blaze ramen with chicken as well. The edamame came out first and my sister along with my wife enjoyed it. It took our ramen a little while longer to come out because at other location, it would come out quick. I thought they made my ramen noodle dish well, the noodle was cooked perfectly and the soup was delicious. My sister loved her Blaze ramen too for her first time and my wife is never disappointed with her Blaze ramen dish. Our waitress was attentive to use and would refill our water when she saw it was low. We had a great time dining...
