After the gym closing, was hungry and ready to get some food in, and its past 10pm. Majority of your restaurants and smoothie shops are closed. So I wanted to get something to eat before heading home. Wanted pho originally, but switched it because their menu shows a variety of dishes and not a traditional vietnamese restaurant as far as the menu. And looking at all the items on the menu a few times, I noticed that prices are fairly reasonable at a range of $6-$10. That's not bad considering you can get fast food/pizza for about the same amount and make it a cheat day.
Ordered a teriyaki item and didn't realize until it was prepared and in front of me that the salad is made up of cabbage. Score!!! So I ordered the chicken and beef, comes with a good size scoop of rice, and then you yet your cabbage salad which is neatly prepared. I usually take pictures but this time around was so hungry didn't bother. I don't know why but it was really good as far as quality and taste. Flavors and sauce with the meat was so good that was enjoying the food and ignoring the rowdy environment. Been here one other time and tried pho and it was pretty good as well. Random find considering I eat at restaurants in the area, and nice to find something when randomly in the area.
This place and in the area, hard to tell if it's going to be good or not just by driving by. It is a good area for food if you are looking for places to eat at, away from actual busy Seattle. Minutes away from Seatac airport, this is one of those random asian restaurants that if you like to eat food, listen to some locals mingle, drink booze and karaoke, and having a good time, then this is a good whole in the wall restaurant with a dive bar feel.
Reasons I would recommend this place overall is quality of food and service. Been here twice now and everything is good so far. Families come here, and it does have the bar which gets pretty noisy. Parking is not too bad, has limitations during the day, but at night plenty of options. During the day, this area has many options for food, and I am not sure how packed it gets since I have come after...
Read moreDue to covid our original go to restaurants closed early. We went to this establishment and the service was good, but the food was horrible. The teriyaki looked like they scraped the leftovers off previous guests plates and put more syrupy teriyaki sauce on it. The rice was obviously made 10 hours prior to being put on my plate. The portions were tiny compared to all the rest of the local Japanese restaurants in Burien (which was probably a good thing). I think the avacado bubble tea was not made with real avacado which is why we order avacado bubble tea in the first place. It looks like the main focus of this place is to drown locals with stiff drinks and to ensure that their beverage cost is the most important revenue generator of this restaurant. If your goal is to get inebriated and thats it,...
Read morePlease read my entire review. The broth was delicious, the noodles chewy, and the meat balls tender and tasty. A "small" is the size of a medium everywhere else. We also had gyoza and fried rolls. Both delicious as well, and came with this dipping sauce that was so good I could have happily drank it out of the bowl. The owner served us and was cracking jokes. Really nice guy. The reason I only gave 3 stars is, my significant other and I both got really sick that evening and the following morning. The people we ate with didn't get sick. The only thing we had different than them was tea. The tea was luke warm at best. It may have been sitting around for a while, or the pot wasn't cleaned appropriately. If it hadn't been for that, I would have given 5 stars. The phó is great. Stay away...
