What in the world is going on with TREAT COOKIES suddenly?
I called them to check if their soft serve ice cream machine was back up and running before I headed over there to give them yet again more of my business since I come from 40+ minutes away to patron and got the rudest person on the phone, Monica, to give me so much lip service and attitude over what? A very simple question! What a mean co-owner. I will NEVER give them my business again after experiencing such an ungrateful and untruthful owner (Monica is the mother).
I was there exactly after getting off a flight at Sea-Tac airport. I made it a point to stop by since I was in the area. I picked up 24 cookies in two pink treat boxes. I was very much looking forward to the soft serve ice cream; the flavors that day were Ube and Vanilla, and clearly, the soft serve machine was broken as it was not turning and stuck in its place, ricocheting back and forth. You could see it clearly from where the machine rotates and swirls the soft serve. We even had a chuckle and laugh about it with the staff how the "ice cream machine is broken," obviously not producing 🍦. So, yes, it was definitely broken. When your own staff is telling you the machine is not working, that means it's broken, Ms. Monica!
The co-owner, Monica, insisted that her ice cream machine had never been broken and that I was making stuff up. I have the receipt to prove it and the employee name I discussed the "no soft serve" disappointment with. 😂
What a clown of an owner! 🤡
Kay, you're a sweetheart, and I'm sad I won't be coming to TREAT anymore because of your disrespectful owner. You deserve better, girl. You're a gem.
I will never recommend TREAT again to any of my brides! I will never order cookies for Teachers Treat Day or Teachers Appreciation Week or anything. I would N🚫T support such a rude female-owned business. There are many others far better!
Crumble Cookies, Hello Robin's, and/or Jenny Cookies will now be my staple. Or get "The Cookie" now in two flavors at Metropolitan Market! Give your hard-earned money to people who respect their patrons and appreciate repeat,...
Read moreNext. Level. Cookies!!! I feel like this is some sort of renaissance, nay, revolution of cookies. They have the best parts of cake like quality without being cakey, they hold the best parts of being a cookie while tasting different than all other cookies. They're huge first of all and full of mouthwatering, dynamic flavors and a texture that is UNREAL.
I had the Lemon Curd which is like mind blowing. There's a gorgeous lemon zest crust above the light crumble of the cookie. We also had the Sumac Gingersnap, HOT DANG. It was lovely and interesting. The Dirt and Worms was unexpectedly amazing. Such a different type of chocolate cookie (and with a gummy worm!?) it works!! We finished with the chocolate chip cookie with sea salt thinking it'd be basic but no, it was baller!!!!!!
Why does this place have to be so close to my house!? The interior is ABSOLUTELY adorable and it's located in beloved Olde Burien. Lots of great places to eat and shop there so plan it on your next trip. Welcome to the Neighborhood Treat Cookies, yall rule!!
UPDATE: Still loving these cookies and just had the awesome AAPI inspired line up. The mango sticky sent me to HEAVEN, wow! Best cookie for me at Treat yet,...
Read moreThese cookies tasted SO GOOD but they gave my whole family food poisoning. My friend bought us an assorted dozen on her way over to our place and we ate some for dessert that night. We each ate different cookies. The next day we all became sick. I honestly thought I had somehow made us sick - maybe what I made for dinner was undercooked? By that evening my daughter was feeling better and had another cookie before bed. She woke up in the following morning and became sick again. It was definitely the cookies, but my biggest concern was it was ALL OF THEM. We got 6 different kinds of cookies and I only ate one kind - the pink frosted. My husband had half a chocolate chip and half a (we guessed) rocky road. My son had rocky road, and my daughter had an orange cream the first time and what we think was maybe a peanut butter cup? It’s hard to say, we weren’t told what they were supposed to be. The point is, if it was just one batch of a certain cookie, only one or maybe two of us would have gotten sick. All of us becoming sick means all of the cookies were contaminated. We don’t live nearby so likely wouldn’t have ordered there anyway, but we wanted to warn others. It...
