Chicken Salad Chick — Restaurant in Burleson

I wasn’t sure when this place opened whether I would like it or not. WOW I can’t wait to return!! I came on a Saturday for lunch and seriously wanted to eat it for dinner. On Sunday I really wanted it again for lunch (seriously it’s that good) but sadly they’re closed.

The interior is super cute and welcoming. Definitely more of a place for women so husbands and boyfriends take note, if you love your girl take her here and score extra points for dining in! There are even photos of Burleson and Fort Worth (including TCU!) on the walls which I love. There’s some outdoor seating and a drive-thru. That’s going to get me into trouble 😜 They also have prepackaged chicken salad you can grab to take home with you of all flavors.

Perfect snack to grab and take to Lost Oak Winery down the street!

The food: I had the Jalapeño Holly, just a scoop (you can get it as a sandwich too with the grape salad. I loved the chicken salad although had a hard time cutting and eating the piece of lettuce it was on with just a fork. It also came with crackers and a cookie which I didn’t know about until I received my plate. Next time I will do without the brown sugar on top of the grape salad. My mom had the Fancy Nancy (apples, grapes and pecans). While it was good overall, her chicken salad contained just 1 piece of apple and 1 grape which is very disappointing. There should have been pieces of apple and grapes throughout otherwise it’s just plain chicken salad. She chose the broccoli salad and wow it was fantastic! Definitely ordering that for myself next time.

Returning customer: 09/22/2025 Liam did a FANTASTIC job with active listening. I am one who likes my stuff to be precise and wow!! I had to call in today to tell assist mgr how awesome that young man was. I found out his name is Liam. He entered in everything just right and he dbl checked the melts were toasted and correct. Very good food and good job Liam!

Past visit: I returned today, Wow can I say from the service to the quantity and quality of the food did a 180 from the last time I was here. I give y’all 5 stars today. The young lady who took my order thru the drive thru was very helpful and knowledgeable. She gave me the bread options when ordering. I didn’t even know I had options. The meal with sandwich and scoop was proportionate to the cost I paid. Thank you so much!!! I’d give 10 stars if I could. Today I ordered The Chick with the Carol sandwich on white not toasted with lettuce and tomato and a scoop of fruity Fran it is so good!!!

Prior review - I went thru the drive thru received terrible service and missing food from my order. $15 for this…. I won’t order the chick again with the egg salad, look how much egg salad I was given or not!?!? Egg sandwich?? Where is the egg salad? Then maverick charged me $4.99 instead of the $2.49 for the chicken salad scoop. He needs more training and the kitchen too! They were closed when I tried to return to get...

Update 3/26/21: I've been back a few times since original review, and again, while the food I receive is always decent. Every time I order a special extra treat for my daughter and I, it is always left out. Every single time I have ordered a dessert, I don't receive it and when I am the one picking it up and notice before I leave I have been met with annoyance. I like chicken salad chick, but if I return it will probably be to another location.

I love the food at chicken salad chick. We ordered the other day for a picnic and all of the food I received was good. However I had a couple items missing, some incorrect, and while ordering she seemed irritated with me for having a hard time hearing her quickly tell me what they did have (she explained they were out of quite a bit). Which is understandable at a time like this. But it made me feel like a nuisances when asking if they had certain items before ordering or asking her to repeat herself when she spoke extremely quickly to get through the list.
