Ramen Bistro & Hibachi*Boba*Bar — Restaurant in Burleson

I am late posting my review - but we chose to take my daughter here for her 15th birthday a week ago. Our waitress was hands down the best! Zero issues with her. There were 9 of us total, and she kept our drinks refilled and was very helpful in giving suggestions on the menu. She took our orders and got our food out to us quickly. The one (and major) issue I had was that I felt like the manager was unprofessional - and here is my reason for why. Again, it was a birthday dinner, so there was plenty of food ordered. One of the things I ordered were the chicken udon noodles, NO vegetables, shrimp to the side. (Side note - this one thing took FOREVER to get to the table.) I know the waitress wrote it down correctly because she even read the order back to me before taking it back to be cooked up. Zero issues with her. I DO however have an issue when the owner of the establishment comes and literally says "server mistake" and hands me my food - the look on his face and tone of his voice heavily hinted at annoyance at having to remake the dish. That in my opinion is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and if I had been his waitress I would have quit right then and there. She definitely in my opinion is an experienced waitress and deserves to be treated better than that. Learn how to properly treat your wait staff and admit when your kitchen messed up an order. She naturally was tipped over 20% because she was awesome. And to the owner - if you are reading this, take it as constructive criticism and do better. You won't keep your amazing wait staff around treating them...

I first visited this restaurant in December, before they officially opened. Although they weren't serving customers yet, the employees kindly offered me a menu for a future visit. The aroma inside was incredible, and I left feeling excited to try their food.

Fast forward to my first official visit on a Friday night, I was disappointed with our takeout experience. The fried rice lacked flavor, with no discernible sodium or Asian-inspired taste. The shrimp shumai was cold and had a strong, fishy flavor. The pork bao was underwhelming, with little flavor to speak of.

The garlic Ramen was inconsistent - one portion of the pork was more than exceptional best I’ve tasted, while another portion was undercooked, chewy, and tasted old. As someone who isn't a big fan of Ramen to begin with, this dish didn't change my mind.

The chicken Katsu was overcooked and resembled jerky. On a positive note, I'm hoping that future visits will yield better results.

Another concern was the bartender, who appeared to be disorganized and had questionable hygiene practices. To make matters worse, they claimed to be out of certain products, despite them being visibly stocked.

One point of confusion was their hibachi setup - instead of cooking at a table, they cook in the back. I'm not sure how this works, as I've always associated hibachi with tableside cooking.

I'll be willing to give them another try in the future, hoping that they'll iron out...

If you’re a ramen enthusiast—or even if you’re just beginning to explore the world of this beloved Japanese comfort food—Ramen Bistro is a must-visit.
