I recently stayed at the Marriott for a business trip and had the pleasure of enjoying Starbucks coffee and food on two of the three days I was there. The coffee and food were consistently amazing, and I thoroughly enjoyed the friendly and helpful employees on the first day I visited. They had a great positive energy that made my stay enjoyable.
However, on the last day before heading to the airport, I encountered a particularly rude cashier named Jessica. I was patiently waiting in line for her to finish with a customer when she mistakenly assumed that I was ācuttingā in front of another customer because I stood on the other side of the cash register. This customer had already mentioned that they were only looking, but Jessica persisted in forcing me to move myself and all my luggage over to the other side, even though I was the only person in line.
Shortly after, a Caucasian woman approached the counter and did the exact same thing I had done, yet she didnāt make any effort to move herself. Instead, she happily took her order. This incident was the only one I had with a barista, and the rest of the staff was incredibly sweet and kind. It seems that Jessica may need some additional training to improve her customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a unique Starbucks just outside the SFO airport off Old Bayshore Highway with an ocean view of planes landing and taking off. It's located inside the Marriott hotel and isn't easily accessible to the public, unless one is willing to pay the Marriott parking costs ($7-23) or park in the street and walk 10-15 minutes. Prices are steeper than normal Starbucks (around 20-30% more than normal) but that's part of the cost for the unique location. It's also "special" in its own way in that they don't offer typical Starbucks refills and instead only refill hot coffee drinks.
Other than that, it's a very nice spot with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. WiFi was adequate too, freely provided by Marriott with 2Mbps down and up.
I ordered a trenta strawberry acai for $6.21 that normally costs $4.72 and found it be consistent with...

I ordered two coffees, but she only rang up one. It was clear that my presence interrupted her conversation, and she was not pleased. I had to wait and place a second order, and she responded with a confrontational and arrogant attitude.
This was very disappointing and...
