Francesco Pizzeria-Ristorante — Restaurant in Burlington

Came in for a late lunch on Sunday around 2pm. Wasn't busy at all and was seated immediately. Our waitress was really kind and always made sure we had everything we needed. Didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive.

We ordered the clam chowder and brocolli calzone. I've never had clam chowder prepped this way before. Always either white or red but this was kind of like chicken stock base. It was really good! Loaded with clams, no grit at all. So fresh and full of flavors. Comforting without being overly heavy or rich as some chowders go.

The brocolli calzone was probably the best I've ever had. The bread was incredibly soft and baked perfectly. I don't know how they managed to keep the calzone from being soggy with the brocolli and mozzarella/ricotta filling but man they did it. Because of that you got all the wonderful crunchy textures alongside the creamy cheese filling. The marinara sauce that comes on the side is also super amazing. Full if garlicky flavor, not too tangy and not too sweet. It really was the most perfect calzone ever.

My family and I chose to eat here tonight, the night of the Riverfront Light Show.. we waited about 40mins for a table. Let me just say, this place was incredibly busy and I personally felt so anxious for the staff, they clearly didn't anticipate this insane amount of hangry customers! However, not once did any of the waiters huff and puff. They all had smiles on their faces! They were all so polite and I felt they truly cared for all their customers the very best they could given the circumstances! Some of these waiters were just kids themselves and I was blown away by their politeness and attentiveness! When we were seated we placed an order for a pizza right away because we had some very antsy/hungry young children with us, and that pie came out within 15mins - the exact time frame they told us! We absolutely will be returning on a not-so busy day to actually get a feel for the restaurant on a normal day. Also, the food was...

Our family loves pizza - the pics on here look amazing. I Pizza was awful. We ordered through door dash - a sausage piece, two cheese, and a sausage and spinach. the pizZa looked like a cheese pie from the day before re-heated with the toppings thrown on top after the plain reheated pie came out the oven. the jalapeno peppers were cold and tasted like they were frozen then heated up. I called the restaurant and he said that instead if the chef making it one of the waitresses probably threw it together. said that if they remade it we would have to pick it up and the most I could do is reach out to doordash for a refund. Door dash refunds are for when items are missing, didn't arrive or arrived cold not for restaurant messups so they didn't refund me even half the full amount. i am not happy with this purchase and WILL NOT be ordering...
