Pizza Works is settled on the Billerica Edge of Burlington and is a bit more out of the way than other pizza offerings in the area, but it is well worth the trip. You'll be greeted by cheerful staff, and an expansive menu akin to other pizza/sandwich shops in the MA/NY area. For slice fiends, Pizza Works offers a pie that is leaps and bounds ahead of the local competition, and is very similar in character to the ever-elusive New York Pie. The crust is delightfully crispy, yet not too thin and provides a strong, bready foundation to the pie. The crust integrity is top-tier, so the slices can be consumed flat or folded, as per your preference. The sauce is a mild and unobtrusive pizza sauce, which leans slightly on the sweet side, but beautifully complements the rich and gooey blend of cheese that tops the pie.
Pizza Works' pie is easily the best in the area, and the restaurant boasts delivery, take-out, and indoor seating. It's the perfect place to sit down and grab a couple of slices with the boys, or to order take out for a big party or get-together. Skip the generic chain feel of the Regina at the mall, and don't even glance at the aggressively millennial Blaze Pizza and its Fast Food-style butchering of pizza craft. Take the extra time and drive down to Pizza Works for a pie that's miles ahead of the...
Read moreThis place used to be good. Quick service and delivery. Reasonable prices. (Worst 2 things were that the pizza was sometimes over cooked and they never had regular mustard for burgers or Pastrami subs. Only brown spicy mustard) Little by little went way up in price, but still a little cheaper than most places around here. Now gone down hill. The people who take your order over the phone are sometimes screwing up the orders. Delivery is terrible! Hot subs, pizza and fries come cold. The delivery people are not required to keep the food in bag warmers anymore when they come to your door. No good, especially in the cold weather. Also, they don't always read the instructions about which door to go to and by the time they come, the food is REALLY cold. We do understand it's hard to find people who want to work these days, but at least try training them better before they...
Read moreI placed a large order a week in advance and was assured 11:30 AM delivery wouldn’t be a problem. I even called the morning of to confirm, and was told we were all set. During that call, I caught a mistake in the delivery address, and we corrected it.
Unfortunately, at 11:50 AM—still no delivery. I called again and was told the driver should be there any minute. At 12 PM, still no pizza. The driver finally called and said he had not been given the corrected address. My order arrived 45 minutes late, which delayed a scheduled lunch meeting.
To make things worse, we also ordered the day before for a separate event, and that delivery was 30 minutes late. We’ve used Pizza Works for years as our company’s go-to, but the back-to-back delays have been disappointing—especially when coordinating time-sensitive events. Hoping they get...
