By reading reviews dating back 5 years, that's a bit too long ago for this location of complaining by customers. I went in last night to buy my husband a sandwich for work for tomorrow. He enjoys Jersey Mike's Subs. We discovered Jersey while living in California before moving back to North Carolina. California locations are the best and I missed that. Professional and the sandwiches are superb. The first time going to Jersey here in North Carolina on University In Burlington. It was superb. The staff did an excellent job on our sandwiches and the place was clean. Was so impressed with the service. First time at this location on Church street. Was coming in just maybe twenty minutes before closing. The young lady had a strange look on her face. I asked her can I order or are you getting ready to close? She stated that I could order. I ordered the "9 supreme. As she began to fix my order, I ask if they had wheat bread, she said no. I asked if I can have my bread toasted, she said the grill or something had been shut down already. She said they were out of bacon and I wasn't able to have on my order. The counter was nasty. She continued to touch her face as she was making my sandwich. She had gloves on but not sure if clean or not. I didn't want to be rude and walk out. I ask for a discount because of not having bacon and wasn't able to get toasted bread. This was the worst customer service. I'll never go back to this location. Back to the University location I go. And the reason I went to this Burlington location is because it was closer than University location. I have to drive a few more miles to get good customer service and good food, it's worth it. Please train your managers and staff. This is pitiful and embarrassed. Not a good look of complaints coming from customers over five years. Also health department needs...
Read moreI will personally not be eating at this branch ever again. On my lunch break 2 weeks ago I went in only to be told by an older lady that the Philly steak I asked for they couldn’t do? I politely asked her why as it was 3 people up front on the makeshift counter & she stated that they didn’t have anyone to work the grill & was short staffed? Being that I did not care for any cold subs that day I felt dismissed as I use to make subs, run the cash register, bust tables, & then some?
I’m not understanding what the problem or issue was?? I felt like the older lady was incompetent to multi tasking? If so and if she’s the day manager or whatever she’s supposed to be makes Jersey Mike look extremely bad!!
The young gentleman making the subs was so polite and apologized as that’s the only good experience from this store.
I went back to this same store last week to run into the same older lady again. I asked for a Philly steak & cheese and she tells me that they only had chicken???! Huh?? What?? How can this store never be prepared for what is on their menus??!!! That is so crazy!! The same young gentleman apologized again & was so professional!!
I went to the other Jersey Mike near University Drive & 3 people were also there working & prepared my sub in less than 5 minutes!! Needless to say I was beyond disappointed & frustrated with the other Jersey Mike!!!
When I told them how disappointed & ticked off I was with the store on South Church street they all had worked there and quit! I don’t blame them as if that store can’t provide consistently what is on their menus then that store should be SHUT DOWN point...
Read moreI got a giant sandwich and a regular , I go inside to pick it up and they said my sandwich was made but the #7 wasn’t because they are out of the bread we asked for, then she said all they have is wheat bread and wraps and I told her just do wheat. I wait for 10-15 more minutes and then before she makes it she asked u wanted a wrap right and I replied no I said wheat bread and she claims she never said she had wheat bread. I would like to add if u are out of bread then let us know instead of charging . I ask about doing a refund , she claims they don’t do refund in store because they don’t know if someone used points and we had to go online and do it . First off they were very and rude and when my mom called they said I lied and they never said they couldn’t do a refund and explain how that makes sense because why would we go through all this trouble. One was an older black lady and the other was younger. They refunded after hanging up twice and after we asked for the manager. I don’t know why it was so hard to just refund instead of being childish and rude but then again I guess people are miserable with themselves. Hopefully what they are dealing with gets better and they fix their attitude . Anyways never going back because the service was very bad and they were very disrespectful when I was very respectful.
