I do not recommend getting pourover from this place. The coffee bean they use isn’t bad, but the temperature is way too hot, so the product you’re getting will carry an overpowering bitterness, plus you’ll need to wait at least 10 minutes to be able to drink it. Oh and the barista asked their coworker to take over in the middle of the dripping because they have to use the bathroom real bad.
I also do not recommend getting coffee beans from this place. At first I was so happy to find that they carry beans that are freshly roasted. But after trying them I got so disappointed because these beans are clearly flavored, but such information was not disclosed in its packaging. It’s sad because now I can only throw this $24 bag out as it tastes gross like damp towel that’s been sitting on the stove for weeks. I understand that the coffee shop doesn’t roast their own beans but people come here to support local businesses. Maybe at least test them before putting them on the...
Read moreFirst I will say that the cappuccino I ordered was really good. It was everything I would expect out of a great cappuccino. The inside scoop is when you stand there reading the alien language wall menu for over 5 minutes you earn a free 10 minute class on how to read the menu and select a drink from a bilingual barista. The class was helpful and I somehow felt accomplished. So off to ordering as I could see the next person in line was approaching 10 minutes of menu staring contest. Service was good but the end result was no different. I thought after all of that, I'm drinking a cappuccino. I fully expected to see into the future, or grow antennas...
Read moreTo call this place a coffee shop is to sell it tremendously short of what it actually is: an Elixir of Life Dispensary. I frequented this establishment multiple times a day whilst living in Burlington. The outrageously attractive and charismatic staff are not only excellent conversationalists and joke tellers, but also experts at their craft. Sourcing only the finest coffees from the ends of the earth, it seems these baristas/artists will stop at nothing to ensure that every drop of perfection that is associated with their name is equivalent to nectar of the gods.
Ever since moving away from Burlington I've felt that a large part of my soul has been ripped out and left at 126 College Street. I am planning a pilgrimage later this year to...
