The hardest part about writing this review is deciding where to start! Deli 126 bartended at my wedding this past October in Vermont, and they were a pleasure to work with right off the bat. Despite it being in the middle of the pandemic, Deli 126 was brilliantly accommodating by video chatting with us as we tasted cocktails that they had prepared and had delivered to us (along with garnishes!) in perfectly vacuum sealed pouches. They worked extensively with us to find a perfect set of cocktails that appealed to my and my husband’s tastes and also made use of local ingredients such as my family’s maple syrup and our favorite honey supplier. They even let us name all four of the signature cocktails that they designed for our wedding! Then, on the day of the wedding, they absolutely knocked it out the park. Not only did they keep all of our guests supplied with a steady stream of incredible cocktails (we never saw a backed up line once the entire night!) but they also took special care to make sure that me and my husband were always supplied with a drink since they knew we wouldn’t have time to get to the bar ourselves. They brought that same attention to detail to every aspect of service the entire night, coordinating flawlessly with our wedding planner and caterer to time various stages of drink services with each phase of the wedding. This is all the more impressive in light of the fact that they did all of this at an outdoor wedding in the middle of a thunderstorm! I would absolutely recommend Deli 126 to anyone looking for a top tier bar service at any event; I can’t think of single thing that was any less than perfect the...
Read moreWe decided to check this place out on a saturday night for a cocktail. We got in around 11:45 and there was a handful of people in there. We saw this cute red crushed velvet love seat and sat down, it was REALLY uncomfortable...we picked up a menu next to us and looked around for another seat we could move to and noticed a waitress approaching, she didn't say a word, not a hello or anything....instead she just placed a sign on the table next to us that said "order at bar" ... It was very impersonal, we felt like she could of easily said that to us, even while placing the sign. It didn't make us feel welcomed.
We moved locations to another spot and went to the left side of the bar to order...there was another sign... "order at rails".... so I moved to the rails on the right side of the bar and placed a drink order. Bartender acknowledged my order and several minutes later brought me one drink and said he didn't remember the 2nd drink. I ordered the martini again...it was not a good martini.
We all have off nights...we will try again another time, perhaps when there is some live music and hope to have a...
Read moreMy bridal party had our bachelorette weekend in Burlington. I love The 126 and always make it a point to come here. When we attempted to enter, the bouncer would not allow one of of the girls in because she was already pretty drunk. Good call by him- I wish more bouncers were careful. So, we split the group and decided my maid of honor and I would hook back up with the others in a bit. Unfortunately, one of them, who was not even drunk picked a fight with the bouncer as my maid of honor and I were enjoying our drinks inside, and we were asked to leave. I am deeply embarrassed that this happened, but very impressed by how kind and professional the 126 staff were. I love this place even more now that I have witnessed how they skillfully and professionally dealt with the situation and were very concerned with the safety of us and others. Still the best cocktails I have had- and my maid of honor agrees. I am very much looking forward to coming back with...
