Skid's Drive-In — Restaurant in Burlington

This place was one of my favorite places to eat until 30 mins ago 8/30/22 I decided to order ahead instead of the drive in wait for the first time. That was the worse decision. Upon walking in I saw no ppl like myself once entering I was looked at immediately I acted as if I didn't see them, then this short mixed or Caucasian looking male says Can I help you? The young lady whom was going to help walked past him, i answered picking up Jackson order he brings my bag a slams it in the counter it shocked me hearing the sound so I began looking at him to make a long story short if you want to be treated as a valued customer no matter your race this place isn't it. I have to give this place 5⭐️s for what it is. We drove up a lady came out to the car gave us a menu, came back took our order, then brought us our food. I Loved it. I didn’t have to get out of the car, and it wasn’t a drive up window. My wife ordered a chicken platter. There was much more chicken than you could want 2-3 meals of chicken for her. My Special burger was also 2 meals (for me anyway).Luckily they cut it in half. Ate other half for dinner. Onion rings were great! Only negative - Her salad was limp and white. As a teen and young adult I used to eat at Skids often. I hadn’t been in a long time so since I was in town thought I’d have lunch there. I noticed the sign said because of the beef shortage that the ribeye basket would be higher $8.95(I think) which was fine I understand. The piece of steak was so thin the tomato was thicker than it was! The service was really slow cars were coming and leaving and I was still waiting. Some did have call in orders but some didn’t. I don’t understand what too so long to cook that very thin...
