One of the worst fast food experiences I've ever had. I don't even know where to start. We were traveling with our VB team and stopped in Wendy's because Arby's dining room was closed (still, for some reason...). We went inside and granted we had a large group with about twenty people overall (not much bigger than a lunch rush I can imagine.) The cashier did a wonderful job. She was kind and professional no matter what we brought her way. Not one person was dressed professionally in any way and it appeared that every worker was stuck in a trance and moved at a 🐌 pace. We watched multiple (at least three) workers go on break at the same time right in the middle of our orders. It took more than forty minutes to process our orders. I, for the first time ever, had pink in my fast food burger - not a complaint as I prefer a medium burger but showing how little attention to detail was given. The frostys were more liquid than frost. The cups all had the dried up rubber ( hopefully was just that) from the cup holders all over the edges of the plastic cups and when the black soot/dirt was pointed out, one of our girls was told to "quit being a baby about it." In one of the frosty cases I went up and the amazing cashier got another one for us and it was much better. I'm almost positive that the cashier was the only saving grace for anyone at that restaurant. She was doing everything except cooking the food. I don't know who the manager was but I never saw them or if I did, they weren't professional enough to take care of anything or actually manage their employees.
Let me end with this. We travel all season and eat at a lot of places. I understand that when we bring a large group, it taxes the staff at that location but we have never had such a failure in the three years I have coached. Not impressed at all and definitely the worst Wendy's visit if not the worst overall fast food visit. On a positive note, the food was good. Read moreI seriously wish i could give this establishment 0 stars. EVERY TIME i come here to order they seem to not have anything i’m looking for. I ordered a ceasar chicken salad today “sorry we dont have wraps for salads” I go to order chilli, it is 4 hours to close and they dont have chilli? every time i order the taco salad, sorry we dont have anything to make the taco salad. The food is either cold or fried in weeks old fryer grease. As a restaurant manager myself, I can pick up on when somethings overcooked, has sat in a window for so long to die, and when the fryer grease has not been changed in god knows how long. These seem to be reoccurring themes for this place. When i order at the drive thru i always am sent to wait at a waiting sign even when there are no cars ahead or behind me or already waiting. I go to leave the window tonight and here comes who i presume is the manager (she has a different colored wendys shirt on than everyone else) and the employee who took my order walking outside and begin to make out right in front of me? Is there not a rule against fraternizing in this establishment? Even if not, there should definitely still be a level of professionalism held within your work place. Read moreThis store has such a wonderfully bright large dining area and Folks behind the counter! The Wendy's grill grease smell, when you walk in: they've gotten it knocked down a bit. Plus the parking lot is soooo much better! I stop in for lunch again. Thank God.
Back home, in the old days, before Dave Thomas (The Founder) passed, a hostess with a clean bleach rag would be cleaning and sweeping the dining area during lunch.
Also I'm so happy after Arby's bought Wendy's and then spun them off, ruining them, their food products are getting so much better again! The buns are lagging to improve; however, but are getting better slowly like the old days. The drive through is a bit slow at lunch time but getting better. Thanks very much for saving this store and brand. I'm hoping to give this place five stars!
