Reading through the reviews it's obvious most have never worked at a restaurant. The half box of fries looks like what happens when fries spill into the bag.
People talk about needing to train new people. That can be one reason for long wait times. It could be someone changed their order in drive thru, added something at the window, someone got hurt or sick in the kitchen, equipment failure or someone else ordered a massive order.
If you are standing and waiting, there's a good reason. Food runners aren't responsible for making food wrong. Neither are the people at the windows. It's not their fault. Treat everyone with the same level of respect you want your child or grandmother to be treated.
Make sure you know what you want before you get to the drive-thru. Or come inside. They lose good people because drive-thru times are too high. They are timed with everything they do. High turnover rate at these kinds of restaurants. So, be patient. It's not just hamburgers and fries.
If it's busy, it's possible to sit at a table someone just left. It's the only McDonald's for 30 miles. While I was there, someone in a reflective vest was cleaning tables when they weren't running food outside. The staff was polite. Food was warm. Fries were fresh.
I know I will be visiting this...

Read moreLook, it's Mcdonald's right?? Seems like EVERY time we go threw the drive thru something fails right? Well not this time! Yep that's right...we actually had a GREAT experience. It was 11:15pm ish, we were tired returning home to KC from a wedding we'd been at all day in Joplin. Told the wife "f it I'm starving I need something." The gentleman behind the mic was very polite and asked if it was ok we waited 6 minutes for the chicken sandwich I ordered to be cooked. We said no problem and pulled up to the first window. My wife had since changed her mind from the 2 seconds it took to get there from a medium tea to a large which they easily said "no problem" and the woman radio'd ahead for no extra charge. About 6 minutes later out pops the food and it was ALL fresh!! Might I add there was even the BBQ and Honey Mustard packages the wife had requested in there as well!!!!!! Now I'm m not saying nor expecting each and everyone's McDonald's experience here will be the same. Hell I think I actually had a once in a life time experience myself, but if it wasn't and this crew is that good all the time....Butler you have something special. 😁😁 Guy in...
